Update 10: There's a reason we I'm level 64 today (well, in pictures where the project is complete)! It's time for another farm showcase! I have finally completed the 64 village iron farm I have been working on for sooo long. But first I want to apologize for the huge gap between this update and the last. I promise I have a good explanation for it however. With most other projects, I would periodically post progress updates whilst building it. But with an iron farm, especially one as complicated as I have built, progress updates would be boring because its just a bunch of redstone and platform buildng (that I myself don't understand how it works). Plus the tutorial for this thing is an hour and ten minutes long, so give me a break . So I have the whole farm built today and have a good amount of pictures to show.
Ok, so here's one picture of me laying down the redstone for this build... You'll have to excuse me using the inferior default texture pack in the beginning pics, but I installed optifine and I liked how it made the glass have connected textures.Me tearing down my village breeder to get the villagers into the farm. I had 31 including the one on that granite platform I made to create a village, Although I only needed 25 for the farm.I found this great way to get villagers into minecarts automatically, but unfortunately I screwed up by punching the wrong block. I should have just hit the the one the villagers were standing on when in their breeding cell. They flew everywhere, and because this area is a village (a lot of villages), you can imagine how many times they ran away fro me. *sigh*.By far moving these villagers was the most tedious task, and very time consuming. Good thing I only needed 25 of them. It took me around 4 hours to get them all in the farm.I gladly tore down all the rails I made for moving those stupid villagers as I finish...I did have more than enough villagers so I kept some. I needed some that would be useful to me between now and when I get my villager trading hall set up. One librarian had a sharpness V trade, but at the cost of 64 emeralds it wasn't worth it right now. Maybe later down the road.I did find an even better librarian who had a Looting III trade for just 21 emeralds and a book! Looting III and Fortune III are my favorite enchants, and both are hard to come by even when I'm enchanting multiple stacks of books at the endermen farm. With that it is complete! It's definitely the largest project I've ever done. Also, I looked at my last update and didn't really like the way it came out. One particular thing that bothered me is that I feel like I made it seem as though the whole thing was complete at the end and I wasn't giving any info on it. For any of you who thought that, This, of course, is how the completed thing looks. Very grand indeed. Now I'll give a short explantion on how it works, but like I said I don't know all the details myself, and iron farms are actually one of the more complicated types of farms out there. Anyway, enough of my rambling. Basically there are 3 types of iron farms. There are single village (aka single cell) iron farms, those small pods where you have about three villagers surrounding a spawning pad for iron golems. Then you have multi-village iron farms, basically just multiple single village farms within an specific area. Most people build multi-village farms it seems to me. But I like to go big, so I built what it is called a stacked iron farm. This means that the farm stacks a bunch of villages together in a very small area, which isn't possible with a multi-village farm, because with multi-village you have to spread the villages far apart enough so they won't merge. I believe stacked farms become absolutely necessary around 32 villages. The two types of stacked farms are static and automatic. With static, you build the villages while building the farm. By far the most popular example is the iron titan, which isn't the only static one out there. His farm doesn't require much redstone and is pretty easy to build, but you will hate life if you ever have your villages merge on accident while building the farm. That's why I prefer Automatic stacked iron farms. Although they're redstone heavy, if you screw up along the line, forget to place a door somewhere, or somehow blow up all your villagers, all you have to do is fix the problem and hit a button to reset the farm. On top of that Automatic farms don't have to be built in the spawn chunks. This farm here is a the equivalent to the 64 village iron titan (It's in the spawn chunks even though it doesn't have to be). It outputs 2600 iron ingots per hour like the iron titan, but with the luxury of being mistake friendly.Of course I don't want to forget to give credit where it is due. The farm design is by a guy named Hax52 on redstone, so check out his channel if you want to build this farm (or any other reason). I guess I'll show off the villager pods... The only thing butchers are good for is being part of iron farms.I was particularly worried this part went out too far out and wasn't in the spawn chunks. To be honest I probably would have used the "setworldspawn" command had it not been. That pod there was easiest to do even though it has 20 villagers. The others took at least 30 minutes each. The inside spawning platforms. And finally I have the lava blade where the golems got to die >:)And that's it! Bask in it's glory! I haven't turned the farm on yet (by hitting the reset button), because I didn't make the storage system yet. And trust me, I'll need a big storage system. But I knew I hadn't made an update in almost 2 weeks so I had to make this ASAP! I hope that was entertaining. Next update, hopefully tommorow, I'll have the storage system complete. And with that I'll finally have all the necessary farms (XP farm, slime farm and iron farm) to build other projects.
Update 11: With the iron farm up and running, I can finally go onto other things. I don't have to worry about mining iron for hoppers, beacons, or anvils, because now it's already being produced for me. But before I move on, I did need to make a storage spot for all the iron the farm was producing, and that's just what I did!
I needed a huge storage system for all the iron I'm going to get. It's a good thing I had a good amount of iron before I built this farm, because this farm actually wasn't working the day I posted Update 10. I was having a lot of problems getting it to work, but with effort and help from the creator himself, I was able to make it start working. From now on over half a double chest will be filled every hour (2600 ingots/hour). But as I said, while I was building the storage system it wasn't working, so I had to rely on my own small stash of iron to get me by.I put in exactly 90 chests there, which should be able to easily keep up with the farm for a long time. Plus later on I can free up more space when I start crafting iron blocks. But we all know the day is coming when The whole thing will be full, but by that time it will be because I already have crafted enough iron to last me a lifetime. I've also heard that a lot of chests being loaded will cause lag, so hopefully this isn't too much?Digging out the area for iron blocks to go. Also, as you can see, I've started to munch down on fried chicken meat lately, and man does it get eaten up fast (obviously a lot faster than pork). I had almost a full double chest of it, but I'm starting to think that won't last me as long as I thought. But for now it's plenty, so I guess I won't worry about it.I should've taken more pics of me building this, I never learn do I? Anyway, I myself am pleased with the results, but I cannot decide if I want the bottom wall to be melon blocks or lime stained clay. If any of you care, please make a suggestion on that, and this whole place if you want. This is the same area the iron blocks will go. I'm not sure 15 double chests will be enough. Who knows? I might expand it later on.Look at her go! I was so happy when I saw it working for the first time! You have no idea how long I was tinkering with it and trying to make it spawn the golems. I couldn't have been more happy. Another thing, if you pay close attention you'll see I have a 32x32 clear glass texture pack. Not necessarily as good as default optifine glass with connected textures but still looks great. Alright, I think I should show you guys the redstone behind this whole collection system. It's actually something I understand quite well and is pretty simple (Although it isn't in the farm tutorial if you want to build it).As you can see the golems burn and their drops fall into a water stream on top of packed ice.The first hopper they go into, which is not shown in the picture, has a comparator running out of it which sends a signal up a torch tower, notifyng the farm iron golems are spawning. The iron ingots travel down 2 more hoppers and come to this place. You see that lower hopper with a comparator running out of it? Iron ingots never enter it, and instead pass right by to be stored. However poppies on the other hand will enter into it, because it's already filled with them, and hoppers always send items down first no matter what direction their facing (which is a super cool feature). The hopper below it is locked by that torch there, so nothing goes into it. The hopper with the comparator running out of has 22 items in it, and the hopper below it is locked, however when it receives more than 22 poppies, the signal strength goes up another block (signal strength of comparator), and the comparator powers the second block with redstone dust you see, which powers the repeater and depowers the torch, unpowering the lowest hopper and allowing items to go through. Here I have an item detector (I believe) that detects when items go through the hopper the comparator is going out of.This is my clock for the poppies to be spit out of. I have 50 items in the hoppers (which are facing each other). When a hopper has items in it or going into it, it powers the comparator, which powers the block it is leading into, which powers the redstone next to it, which of course powers the piston. This happens to both pistons at the same time, except the other piston will be de-extend because it lost powers due to giving them all to the other hopper. This will make the redstone block move over one. When all this occurs, the torch you see will for a split second no longer be powered and send power to that item detector I showed, which powers a dispenser and sends poppies to the nether. Whoa, that was a lot of explaining. And if you can't tell already I did get this design from Tango Tek.The iron goes down this hopper line and into the chests. Like I said, hoppers go down first, so I have the top hoppers pointing away from me instead of down, that way when they can no longer go down due to a part of the storage being full, they go onto the next row. When the whole thing is full, hoppers and all, the iron will go into that diespenser. That sends power to the comparator, which powers the repeater, all the way down to that last repeater you see pointing into the dispenser, which will cause the dispenser to fire the iron into lava. This part isn't from Tango, just a contraption I remembered. The iron is flowing in! I don't know how long it took the farm to obtain all this (not too long), but I can't wait to see multiple chest fulls of this stuff so I can craft them into blocks.Alright, all that iron farm stuff is finally out the way. I think I've been talking about it since update 6. Wow. About those 6 villagers I kept, I hauled them far away from the farm so they wouldn't interfere with it. I almost had a baby zombie kill them too. Would've made me pretty angry. I hate hostile mobs. I made this small little trading shack. It's not supposed to be great, just decided to do it while I was waiting for the iron farm to reset one day. I can't wait to get down to business with them. I especially want to start a large trading hall so I can have infinite emeralds (and all the other cool stuff you get from trading. I think one of my goal will be to get 3,000 trades on my scoreboard, I'm sure that'll be easy though). And doesn't that glass look nice? Finally, something cool happened when I was out fighting mobs (I need string for dispensers, bones for white dye, and arrows since I no longer have a bow with infinity. The struggle without a mob farm...) For the first time ever in a world, a mob has spawned with full diamond armor! I've never seen a mob spawn with any before. On top of that, some of it was enchanted. Lucky.I was lucky enough to get it's chestplate too. Good thing I was carrying my looting III sword on me. I might name this thing and keep it forever. Anyway, that's it for now. As always, if there's anything I can improve on, please tell me. I think it's really fun to make these things, and feedback is much appreciated. Bye for now!

Hey, I don't have much really to say, but just wanted to mention that you're doing great! Keeping my eye on this thread, and am excited to see what you'll do next! ;D

Thank you. Yeah, I just love it for people to read my thread and comment on it. But first I make sure I'm having fun (But I still love comments). As long as guests who don't even have an account are reading it, I'm happy. And if not, well, I want to document my world anyway. But the views on my thread go up with every post, so I'm fine. Thank you for reading.
Wow. I can't believe you saw a full diamonded out skeleton. It's been over 2 years since I've seen that.
I really like the color pallet that you chose for the iron farm, I am a big fan of green. One thing I wanted to note though, the chests for your ingot storage from the middle through the top are going to be a bit difficult to access since they'll be out of reach. You may need to make another walkway halfway up to get to those ones.
Anyways, I bet you're glad that the iron farm is all taken care of. That must be a nice feeling being done with such a large project. Can't wait to see what you end up doing next.
Edit: Haha, you made me curious so I just looked at my villager trades scores and I just recently met your trading goal apparently. I'm up to 3213 times traded in my world.

Nice journal man I thougt that i Was crazy that i killed the dragon and whiter on day 1 and endfarm on day 2 but this iron farm is just mental I never Could do something like that if something is wrong or not good placed I just rage xD
Yeah, I would have raged, but no way was I gonna accept that I had worked on this thing for hours on end and have it not work, lol.

I forgot to mention in my post that I plan to break the chests to get the iron out and craft it. Of course, it will still be hard to reach, should've thought of that, but oh well, I'll deal with it. And maybe one day if I get tired of it I can redesign the storage system. Also, I got inspiration from a certain technical youtuber named ragou42. He used green, lime and brown with oak doors (which are definitely more time consuming to collect unless you have a tree farm). Sorry for late supply, school got in the way.

No problem about the late response, school's always more important. And that makes sense with breaking the chest.. it's the lazy man's quick crafter lol.

Update 12: I haven't done much big stuff this week, but I have done a good amount of grinding. I've come to find out in a more technical world, if you're not building, you're grinding. Fortunately I enjoy a bit of grinding, especially when you start to get burnt out on a large project (which hasn't happened...yet). It takes your mind off of things for a while. Of course, it's good to try not to do too much of it, because then you'll get burn out from that too.
First thing I did was go mining. I haven't mined in a while, and I wanted to make sure I would have enough diamonds for armor repair for at least the next 500 days or so in this save. So I got to it...The way I like to mine is digging out a long 3x3 tunnel and placing branches on the sides (at y11). I have a branch every 4 blocks, meaning each branch is 3 blocks away from one another. In each branch I dig out 100 blocks in one direction. In my opinion this is one of the best mining methods. Unfortunately, since it's 100 blocks long and I have a high regional difficulty, mob spawns can be a problem.Redstone! My favorite ore! Actually it's tied with diamonds. With all the redstone I have, I don't think a witch farm will be necessary anytime soon...I hope (gulp). So now I have dug a total of 50 branches on each side. That means 100 branches in total. Since every branch is spaced 3 blocks apart, that means this tunnel is about 150 blocks long. Since I have branches on either side going 100 blocks down, the whole mine is a dug out 150x203 area. Quite a lot for me, although many people have mined way more than me. I only like to mine occasionally anyway, otherwise it will become boring. There was a time (long ago in previous worlds) where I did not like mining at all, which is fine of course. Haste mining is a good alternative for those who are bored of the normal kind. After digging out 20 branches (I did 30 when I started this world), I have gained over 2 stacks of diamond ore! It's 130 to be exact. I decided to keep a stack of ore, just because I think it makes me look richer, hehe...I got 134 diamonds from mining those 65 ore by the way...Next I went glowstone mining. To make sure I didn't die, I made a completely new, nether exclusive armor set with full fire protection and feather falling. And I still died :/ . I silk touched most of it, then switched to fortune. I figured I don't want to go glowstone mining everytime I use it in a build, so I got it out the way now. After that wanted obsidian. Eventually I will need to make a nether hub, not too long from now, and I'm gonna need a lot of obsidian for that (maybe). Plus I'll need it for all the other stuff you use obsidian for.Took a while for just one tower, but I got it done.Lastly, I went to this place.By far the most boring part. All the other stuff was kinda fun really, but here all I wanted was an infinity book (and fire aspect II). It took forever, but I got it done eventually. Endermen farms are great when you first build them, but after a while you'll probably only want to use them to quickly repair armor or enchant a few new tools. Grinding at them for over 2 hours just isn't thrilling.I put sharpness V on my axe so I wouldn't have to carry a sword around anymore. I also placed my work pick in my ender chest. Inventory space saving for the win.Well, that's it for now. Next is another big project I'm gonna start working on. Oh yeah, finally getting to the good stuff. Happy easter and bye for now!

Update 13: My next project can finally be revealed! But I'll make you wait until later to see. It should be done by next week maybe? I really hope so. I have also been working on my redstone skills lately, so not all my time is put into survival, but I still put in a lot considering the only game I play current;y is minecraft (Lately that is). Anyway, on to the update!
Before I could go right on to building I did have to do a bit more tree chopping. This is because I wanted to use spruce wood in this farm and I had absolutely none. The only reason I haven't built a super fast tree farm yet is because I have a really cool decorative design I have built in a creative world and I don't have all the blocks for it yet. Also, I will spare you the tree pictures since I have shared sooo many of them with you already. After that I gathered up a ton of materials, did lots of crafting, etc. I will say it was more than just this double chest here.Me flying across the water to my destination on a speedy 1.8 boat...My destination is in the middle of the ocean. This is where the farm will be. I originally planned to have it above an island, but decided against it. You might be able to guess at least what type of farm it is by now. Another thing I need is is ink sacs for gray glass and black wool, so I think I just killed two birds with a single stone. Here I have a slime-block landing pad. That's right, this farm still needs to be quite the way's up even though I am in an ocean biome. I have also decided to start using slime blocks as scaffolding instead of dirt or cobble or something of the like. For one they break instantly with just your hand, making destroying a pillar you used a breeze even you're doing it from under your feet. Another, if you get the technique down, you can pillar up faster than you could with any other block. Also I have an unlimited amount of them so I might as well. This is the collection system for my farm. It's your standard hopper minecarts running under, as one of my favorite all-time youtubers calls it, a "splat pad" (Dataless822 anyone?). The items fall on top of the glass and hopper minecarts (which can pick up items through a full block, unlike normal hoppers, which can only pick them through half blocks or no block at all) pick them up when they run under them. The grindy task of crafting. I don't mind crafting really (it is the point of the game, right?), but these dispensers are a real pain. Especially making the bows. If you hadn't guessed it yet... It's a string farm! Yeah, you were probably thinking "mob farm", and this is one since it's a spider farm, but it's designed to only produce string. Why would I build this? Well, the mob farm I'm going to buildis extremely fast but doesn't produce string, so this was my way around it. And yes I know, I could use a cave spider spawner or something, but I'd rather go with something more Epic. This farm is designed by TDL btw.I need tons of water buckets for the dispensers (and yes, I know dispensers are bad for water streams, and pistons are better, and blah blah blah...This farm has got that got that covered). So I had to do yet another painful crafting session, this time with buckets. But manually feeling up 27 stacks of buckets was not something I felt like doing, so I made this water bucket filler, designed by ilmango, to do the filling for me. I estimate it saved me 35-40% of the work. Not sure if you guys want me to go into a lengthy explanation on how it works or not...Bird's eye view of the area thanks to slime blocks. About half those chests you see lined up contain water buckets. It turns out I didn't have enough string to complete the farm. I knew this and thought I could AFK with the little bit of the farm I had completed, but turns out that won't work so I had to go get string from a spider spawner. I grabbed my nearly broken looting III sword and repaired it because I didn't feel like going to the end to get a Looting III book. This is gonna take a while...Good thing I marked this down way back when I don't know when...I remember the mineshaft quite well to be honest, and when I got to this spawner I thought it looked a little weird. But I clear out the room any way for better spawn rates, but nothing spawned. And guess why. This has somehow became a mob spawner that spawns no mobs! And I remember this specifically being a cave spider spawner. If you look at the debug screen it says in the lower left corner "minecraft:mob_spawner", but doesn't say what mob it spawns. I'm pretty sure that normally it should say what mob it spawns, but I might be wrong. Anyway, there is also nothing inside the spawner either if you can see. Weird. Oh well, fortunately I had the coordinates of another one written down. And with that, you have update 13. I hope everyone has a great rest of the day. Bye for now!

Update 14: Well, I have good news and some bad news. Traditionally, I'll go with the good news first. The good news is that I made a lot of progress on my Mega String farm (The rates of this thing should be about 12,000 string/hr. That's more than you get with 3 cave spider/spider spawners. It was already producing string as I built it without me even turning it on. What a great farm. Okay, so that's the good news. The bad news? Until further notice, I will stop playing in this world. Yes, I'm sorry (sorry to those of you who even care)! Why am I stopping? Well, put short I have been invited to a technical server to play on. And I know, I know, I said before I wouldn't join servers again, but this one is deifferent. Allow me to provide some backstory (I'll put it in spoilers if you don't want to read it
So I first started MC as a noob in 1.7.4 (release version). I had played minecraft before that sometime in early 2013, but it wasn't PC edition. Anyway, eventually I got better, and after playing on servers like mineplex and stuff, I found out about technical minecraft. If you don't know what that is, basically it's just when players focus on technical aspects of the game, like redstone, command blocks, exploiting game mechanics to create certain contraptions, etc.
I seriously don't remember when exactly/how I found out about it, which is a shame, but I do remember seeing both ZipKrowdand Dataless822'svideos, and I was astonished. I started off a noob at technical minecraft, of course, and created my own "technical" survival world in which Ididn't have very good building skills, didn't understand many game mechanics, and didn't really even understand the basics of redstone. But I kept playing and watching technical videos, found awesome channels, and finally got to where I am today (not to say that I am some genius technical minecrafter these days either, lol). I have now played in total 3 technical worlds. I have to say, both my building skills and redstone skills have improved tremendously.
And so now that I have been recruited to a zipkrowd-like server, and I get to talk and play with some technical minecrafters (such as xMistaBeastx, NorwegianArtist, and Enemysfriend22) I never dreamed I would get to play with, I can't waste time not progressing our server . Plus whenever I play SMP, SSP gets boring for me unless I stop playing SMP (SSP means survival single player, SMP means survival multiplayer).
Anyway, I will be providing a world download for any of you that want to see my world in person as well as a coordinates list. Lastly, I'll show you my last project in the world of Fyq, and even better I'll show you some pictures of the server I joined (you'll be surprised)!
I have a TON of photos so get ready..
I have a TON of pictures, so get ready... And look, here's an ironic title! "Spiders Everywhere"! What a coincidence! Here's the (almost) finished product. The only thing I didn't complete was putting in the redstone and setting the collection system. Bummer.Alright, onto the server! You people will be amazed at all this server has done, especially considering they only started sometime in January. Here I am working with Mista and TheNorwegianArtist on our guardian farm (We need 90,000 sea lanterns to do something CRAZY). We only have iron armor because some people don't really go mining, and I think the ones that do don't share for some reason, but it's all good, I will set up a diamond chest at spawn where I put the diamonds I mine in.Well, I did a lot in one dayand went to bed. Today when I got on the hole where we needed to dig to y20 was dug, and the rails were all put in place, as well as some glass. I finished putting in the glass and put in most of the hopper minecarts. Also, I'm liking the default texture pack more than faithful right now, for some reason. Here is spawn! Believe it or not, this server has the same exact iron farm built on it that I have built in FyqWorld. I don't know why they didn't use stained clay considering it's inside a Mesa biome, but I don't really care. There's the huge iron ingot storage, iron ingot crafting area, and iron block storage area. Those lamps above the chests indicate the iron ingot storage is completely full. To the right, you can see our 32 furnace array (which smelts at about 192 items per minute, or 11,500 item/hr, which actually did come in handy when a few of our members were mass smelting sand for the guardian farm). Here is a huge array of chests that store a lot of different blocks. For example, logs from our tree farm in the end get automatically transported here. Pretty cool, right? Oh, and if you look in the background, you can see the words "Minerva sign". Minerva is the name of our server. Some cool flags in at spawn...Apparently we're all supposed to have giant statues of our skin at spawn. Don't know when I'll get around to that. I've got plenty of time though. Here I am approaching what might be the greatest storage system of all time. It's huge, but once it's done we finally won't have all these random chests sitting around the world (hopefully). As you can see even it's a mess right now, I hope once the guardian farm is done Mista will get this thing complete (MistaBeast is the server owner).Exterior of a supposedly unused sheep farm.
This is our flower forest biome. Nothing has been done in it yet, so I'm planning to build a flower (dye) farm.Semi-Nether hub. They plan to dig our nether perimeter in this spot, so I don't see how we can have a nether hub, but we'll figure out something. This is our temporary mob farm. Yes, I did say temporary. This is the pride and joy of any technical server, our Quad-Witch hut perimeter (if you don't know what a perimeter is, basically it's a hole dug out so that it can serve some purpose for a certain farm. {Thatmeans slime farms are not perimeters}. The owner chose not to dig out the perimeter, but since he lit up all the caves within a fixed boundary I consider it a perimeter.Sky high view. These 4 witch huts produce 25,000 items per hour by the way. And those white blocks you see, those are iron blocks.2 AFK fishing farms next to the witch-hut storage room.Wanna know what this is? It's a dragon egg duplicator. Lol, yeah they might be cheaty, but dragon head are meaningless anyway. I'm guessing they built it for sorting systems (and maybe breaking bedrock, which is possible to do with dragon eggs). And finally we have the end. This place is so awesome and amazing! Right here I think was an obsidian farm which supposedly never worked. I hope we can make a working obsidian farm one day. This is our endermen farm. This is the railway to the farm. I personally don't think it looks very nice ad so I'm gonna change it.Hallway that leads to different places around the end. It looks pretty good to me.That's a cube maker. I don't see the use for 'em, but to each their own I guess. This is one of the coolest places on the entire server! It's a universal tree farm, dark oak tree farm, and cobble farm all in one place! Also, it's been used quite a lot on this server, so we can do away with the myth that wither powered tree farms aren't safe >:(And lastly this is what I like to call our "Village Trading Center"! It looks a mess now, but I'll clean it up. We have carrot and potatoe farms, a sugar can farm, and once it's up and running I plan to add a melon and pumpkin farm, although if I or other members feel that would make this place to laggy we'll just build them elsewhere.
Well, that's all I've got. It was great fun doing this journal and playing in the best world I've ever made. I hope you all enjoyed this and I hope you all have a great night. Let me know if my posts are entertaining. I'll see you around on the forums!
If I were to start from level 0 and try to get to get to level 1000, it would take exactly 4,760,615 XP orbs. I do know of an insane gold farm that I will build much later on, and with that I can get to level 1000. The fastest XP farm besides the enderdragon farm is actually a guardian farm that delivers over 175,000 XP per hour, but I don't think I'll build that, so 1.8 Gold farms are my best bet.
Which guardian farm are you talking about that delivers that XP? Does that beat snocrash's gold/xp farm?
Grats on your progression! Glad to see someone pick you up. Have fun!
Congratulations and good luck, hopefully you have fun on the server and we get to see some updates from it. (hint, hint)
I think I'll start a separate journal for it. I'll call it, "Minerva: Massive Redstone Projects [Server Tour]"! And of course I'll link it on here. How does that sound?

Thank you! The guardian farm is one designed by the SciCraft server. Ragou42 posts their server tours on youtube. The actual Guardian farm video was made by ilmango, I don't know if he developed it by himself or not. It is in fact MUCH faster than snocrash's XP gold farm. I believe you get 123 levels your first hour of AFK with snocrash's farm. With the Guardian Farm you get 211 levels your first hour. That's not say Snocrash's gold farm isn't a good farm. I'm gonna ask the server members why they haven't built it yet in fact, and if there are no technical difficulty reasons, then I will build it myself (hopefully others will help). I just can't stand endermen farms anymore! XD

Nice one Fyq. Had a real nice hour reading the entire journal Can't wait for the Minerva journal! Funny, because I think all backstories are the same for technical Minecrafters... they get Minecraft, play survival, learn about technical Minecraft, try it out starting as noobs, then slowly become veterans. I'm a command block fan myself (I like messing around with them and making neat little contraptions and thinking up new ways to use them, but I'm not really a mapmaker. I guess you could say I dabble in command blocks :P) and that's how I did it.
Anyways, have fun and have a good one!

I am actually coming back to this journal, lol. It seems I can't make up my mind, but actually I realize that I enjoy SSP more than servers. Although If anyone wants I could post a few Minerva updates too. I thought playing on a server would be more fun, but for many reasons I just like SSP more. And thanks for the comment!
dude... i could never in a million years build anything like that. i can bearly figure out the technicalities of a pokemon game. so cool
Fun fact: The origional Pokemon games were written in the assembly language. That's basically a programming language that is not too far from coding in binary. I have a feeling none of that makes sense to you, but let's just say I would never want to write any program even close to medium in size in assembly. Then again, I don't think the old Pokemon games were very big for a large group of game makers.

I remember writing an assembly program during my EET coursework.... It was only 8-bit, but omg, it was very enlightening on how electronic circuits work at the lowest level of code.

Allow me to provide some backstory (I'll put it in spoilers if you don't want to read itSo I first started MC as a noob in 1.7.4 (release version).
Lastly, I'll show you my
last project in the world of Fyq, and even better I'll show you some pictures of the server I joined (you'll be surprised)!I have a TON of photos so get ready..
It was great fun doing this journal and playing in the best world I've ever made.I hope you all enjoyed this and I hope you all have a great night. Let me know if my posts are entertaining. Congratulations and good luck, hopefully you have fun on the server and we get to see some updates from it. (hint, hint)
Which guardian farm are you talking about that delivers that XP? Does that beat snocrash's gold/xp farm?
Grats on your progression! Glad to see someone pick you up. Have fun!

Anyways, have fun and have a good one!

dude... i could never in a million years build anything like that. i can bearly figure out the technicalities of a pokemon game. so cool
artist, writer, content producer.
