go play dwarf fortress. shepherding stubborn drunken dwarves will keep you occupied for a while. and as a bonus. it's all about mining and crafting too. just not hands on. should help take the sting out of your mining/crafting addiction for a while.
Did you ever consider stopping? Half-Life is good, play that. Also, break up your text.

So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
I know what you mean. I am bored as **** with it, still i play it every day. I think I'm gonna begin with Skyrim or something to get away from Minecraft for a while.
Try presenting yourself a fun challenge, like only using 9 spaces in the inventory (Your hotbar) or play left handed if you are right handed and right handed if you are left handed.
Play with the mouse backwards.
Play hardcore mode.
Play hardcore mode on superflat.
Install mods.
Host a server that turns the mechanics of Minecraft ontop of it's head (I did this with my RP server, it is extremely fun, at the moment I own a city that holds 16 citizens and it is in a huge war with another city)
I dunno, just do something challenging that you wouldn't expect to do in Minecraft.

But here's another. Organise a large multiplayer project. Doing that right now, and trust me, it gets you really into things.ake it something big and complex, and devote much of your time to it. It'll get you right back into the spirit of the game. It gives you a purpose and direction, and once it's over, you can sit and marvel at it.

DAYYUM that sounds like a lot of fun....but no really this is definitely boosting my minecraft spirit! Number one minecraft revival in my book. :cool.gif:
Idea's I can do! Like Mods.. Aether I want to try but never got a chance (1.7.3) And now it's 1.1. ImadLeRider
Why not downgrade to make Aether compatible? I think Aether already updated to 1.0. I feel sorry for the developers always trying to keep up with the updates :/.
I've been playing Minecraft since about Beta 1.1 or 1.2. I agree that the game has gotten easier, but there is one thing that keeps me playing, and that is redstone. I don't mean redstone like wiring up a door. No, I mean creating huge contraptions and recreations that are fully functional. The possiblities are endless with redstone. So learn some complex redstone.
I have been playing since alpha, I think it was 1.2 or something..
Anyway, been playing without any mods, texture packs nor creating multiple worlds. (On my second cause my first world got deleted when I factory reset my PC.)
I don't play much adventure mas, only 2 and do not even use redstone.
I still have much fun playing Minecraft everyday for 4 hours, if time permits.
Maybe it is because I watch animes while doing so? IDK..
But still, Minecraft offers a long play time. By now you should have played it much longer than most AAA titles out there though it is a indie game.
In short, you have gotten your values worth, even more in fact.

Hello, I don't usually follow threads that I post in. So if you would like to have a civilized chat / reply / argument that is of the utmost importance, just PM me. =)
It gets boring for me because there's always monsters around and you can never get away from it each day mining in a cave. And the sad thing is, I know that there's valuable minerals in there waiting to be mined.

Sometimes I fart, and when I do, I enjoy the most of it.
