So these are some issues I have encountered in my latest modded world. None of them are entirely mod related, so I would appreciate feedback.
1. What is the most aesthetically pleasing way to switch from an even number block-wide hallway to an odd number block-wide room? For example, transitioning from a 2-block wide entrance tunnel to a 7x7 Thaumcraft lab.
2. What is the best layer to find Gold? I have plenty of diamonds for the stage I'm at now, but my world seems to be devoid of both caves and gold at layer 12. Too many diamonds, not enough gold. Those machines don't craft themselves.
3. Could anyone share a design for a two-spawner mob farm? I have located an Thaumcraft Dungeon with both a Zombie and Skeleton spawner right next to each other, and need a way to funnel two spawners worth of mobs into a killing chamber.

1. If possible, I'd try building the odd number block wide room at the end of the even block wide room provided that the width of the room is at least twice as wide as the hallway. In another way, I could convert the hallway into a room so long as one side of the room is in line with one of the hallway's walls.
2. I was asking myself the same question. I could just show you the wiki for it but I think you want a well explained data. Sorry, I can't say anything on this.
3. You have any screenshots of the two spawners? Depending on their distance from each other, you can still funnel them into a single channel then connect a mob softener at the end of it.
