Trying to get games written for windows to work on a Linux machine is like trying to put a diaper on an incontinent buffalo. Sure, you might get it all done, but you'll certainly be left with a huge mess, and it's very time consuming.
No, they go into the pit trying to get to me and then hit the cactus. I then come at it from below ground and have holes in the sides of the pit for me to get close enough to get the drops.
I haven't tested it out in a while to see if it still works and it's hard telling what endermen will do to it, but it is nice to have a way to easily get to the drops.
It was really just a temporary defense from when I looked outside one night after spending a day collecting sand and saw a ton of mobs wandering around outside the shack I put up to wait out the night.

The only mob grinder I ever made was with cactuses. I set them up in a spider dungeon with a water-pushing system and had an endless supply of string. The cactus do destroy items, but with how fast monsters spawn, it doesn't really matter.

Except for I put in a pit with the cactus in it so they can fall in there and I can go underground and collect the drops.
Doesn't that destroy the drops? :ohmy.gif:
Yeah, just big enough for me. And they arent smart enough to come perfectly straight through...
