Well, I literally made it out of cubes just like minecraft, I then just took the textures from terrain.png and put them on the right cubes, added in a sun for lighting, turned on ambient occlusion in render setting, and rendered it. The problem though with creating it out of cubes, is that it lags in the editor from all the objects.
I just recently created a Minecraft Cinema4d Kit with everything you need already modeled by me and textured so you just have to jump in and start making cool stuff. Please leave some comments on what you think as well as links to creations you made using my kit!
