Thanks, I've still got some ores to add to that room, a few more paintings.
Some pictures of the new barn:
The half circle back:
Inside is a bit empty at the moment, the log supports have only just been added.
Apparently around one side of the barn in the mountain, there's a mine that pre-dates it. I don't even remember making that mine in the half-mountain, but it came in very hand for lava buckets and smelting all the cobble for the stone floor. It didn't take all that long to do actually.
Obviously I have to add the compartments, bales of hay to make it more homely etc. I think the horses areas will be along the sides, and the donkeys kept in the half-circle back of the barn.

That's awsome dude! My favorite room was probably the Art Gallery.
Yeah... about that.. XD So I'm implementing a new feature for the world and wasn't sure on where to put it, but decided on behind the back wall of the Art Gallery. After initially straightening the walls however, I knocked down the in-between back wall so it's open plan. Now instead of a straight plain back wall, it's been opened up!:
Originally behind this wall in the Alpha days, was quite a drop with a lava fall coming out the wall going all the way down. Only last years was the lava stopped and the drop blocked across with another idea I had that didn't work out. Also might have to move that coal ore when I get a silk pick again. (My last one would've took 37 levels to repair!)
I have also begun a new project below this new area, second picture shows how far back the room will go. You'll have to guess what it is though.

I was going to wait until Monday but I had too much excitement over the new recent builds... That is until just now when a third death occurred in my world so I'm a bit miffed.
Saturday 09th May 2015
Three Deaths, a suicide, but hope spring eternal. (New builds)
It's almost done, the compartments have been made inside the new barn and the place is starting to fill up, all the donkeys have been moved. Unfortunately just now whilst taking these extra screenshots, my anti-virus started stirring and caused major lag - right as I was on my horse Artax trying to escape a creeper upon leaving the barn.
I had done too much work today and not done a back-up yet. I have to accept my losses. R.I.P. Artax.
The barn itself still needs work, the lighting needs to be worked out, less torches everywhere more fence/gate work and a shed load more hay blocks everywhere. In a way I'm glad it wasn't my favorite donkey - Flash I was riding (Pictured), but I'm still gutted.
The old barn was also leveled, the last days of the old barn:
The first recent death I had as well was right in my very front living room. Three zombies spawned from who knows where (As it is a well lit place), and I accidentally one-shot my kitty "Pretty Eyes" who usually always sits on the coffee table. One-shot with my fire aspect sword. I don't know why she moved and was sat next to the jukebox but now the coffee table is bare. The kitty I always say hello to and then goodbye to before Save & Quit - now nothing. R.I.P. "Pretty Eyes". I still have the other ginger kitty - "Lil' Rascal" in the living room extension, but eventually I will have to go travelling for a new kitty, and come back with one that's not ginger.
In other news, the area at the back of the art gallery I've opened up, will be the new trading center.
Three Clerics, 1 butcher cured now - but more news on that shortly. As a result of having three clerics, I let the other two that were in the enclosed reception of the library - out. Free to wander the library as it's lit enough and zombies can't get in.
The biggest news however, the thing I've been working on most is that big new room underneath the new trading area. I dug out quite a lot and finally got a sense of how long the room was going to be!
Any ideas yet? Well, it started off on the shore outside, (Which I had to extend out a little to match it up), if you look near the center top of this map along the shore-line you'll see a cobble half-circle on the edge of the shore. This is what I was digging out to, to form the new Aquarium!
At first I cobbled up the water inside the half-circle, (I Should have used mass amounts of dirt really.); then once the water inside was gone I dug it all up, right down to the level where the floor of the new room is, I think it was level #55. After I added a snow block ceiling over and got rid of the half-circle, I wanted it to look natural under the water and would try to replicate a normal under the sea look with sand to hide the roof. On the map you can still faintly see the half-circle impression underneath the water.
Here's the rest of the work from the past few days, including today with all the blue:
"Museum of fish" room underneath?
I've no idea what to make the walls with yet though.
*Please keep in mind, all cobble blocks are temporary as are any chests and the infinite water source.
To do that half-circle curve wall along by the stairs to the main floor, I had to use all the excess cobble to block off entry to a lot of old caves! Making sure they were lit before doing so I won't hear no mob noises! Part of me was thinking of tanks in the sides of the flat walls. (Big pits behind big glass windows with water, and try to make it deep enough that squids will spawn inside), but I dunno.
Lastly, when I was wandering from the aquarium through the library - one of the free clerics met a grisly end. He was on the upper platform of the library, nearest the Art Gallery; but when I got to the bottom of the stairs - "POOF". Silly thing had took a short-cut over the balcony. I guess he wasn't "Free enough" and took his own life. :-/ It was horrifying.

I personally don't see how people like you don't get bored of one world. Normally I can do a single player world for about a week then I'm bored so I wind up playing on a SMP. But what I've always wondered is why you do not play on a server instead of a single player world and how you don't have to restart because of new updates.

Most servers I find are PVP and mini-game orientated - which is fine, it just doesn't interest me I'm afraid. I'm a builder, adventurer and miner at heart, that's what keeps me in single player and never getting bored. I have other worlds to re-start on or make a new world with when there's a new release, with this one - it's part of the charm. Incorporating new blocks in building, exploring new areas, incorporating the new things. Yes I have some pretty funky chunk walls, but some of them I do stuff two. If I have to go adventuring to find a new biome/set of blocks then to me it's good as it get's me away from my home and out exploring!

Where the old barn used to stand, I've added an extra layer of stone to the back of the swimming pool area wall to cover the exposed gravel and give it a bit more thickness. Also more naturalness.
The area has now been re-generated.
Creeper damage.
I've also finally brought the back wall of the private garden forward, this length of wall on the outside by the stone brick steps up, is the last section of wall to get the "HD treatment" I started long ago. In other words, instead of just it being a block width wall it's 3 blocks with giving it a appearance of being as old as it is (4 years+) and a thickness and realness to it. I've also made it connect to the natural stone wall of the mountain more realistically.
Before:
In this old pic you can see the single cobble wall jutting towards the stone steps up on the left, compared to the 3 block width wall it joins from on the far left.
After:
As a result, very subtle spot-the-difference changes to the private garden area, by bringing the back wall closer in:
I've also been thinking of the empty cobble room behind the bunny room, (Which is actually above the science lab); originally this was going to be a back room breeding for the bunnies. After considerable consideration however I've decided to just knock through and have an extra long big bunny room, plenty of room for them to run around.
It will be decorated to match of course. The inside door to the exit has moved as it was very awkward coming in from the outside with one outer door and one inner door in a very squashed confined area.
Out the back of the storage room the practically-never-used Cobblestone generator has been removed so I closed the wall up, and on the other side extended the wall back outside the upcoming new office.
I can have a little waiting area here now with seats.
Finally, at the base of the mountain where the lava pools lie, I mentioned that I have a fake battle tower (Minus the spawners obviously and have continue work on it. It now goes all the way to the top with 4 - 5 more levels, all the way to the surface of the ocean bed floor:

Nice aquarium! And I guess that cleric wasn't happy with his new surroundings. or maybe he thought it was prison
Thanks Logan, I forgot to add to those pictures the latest Aquarium pictures. I've got the decorators in at the moment down there but it's slowly coming together!:
I think the other cleric got tired of life also! I wasn't there at the time, but I guess the same thing happened. I have a librarian now though, so farming as much reeds/sugar cane as I can to get him to give me bookcases to fill the library is a must. Need two librarians really for that otherwise it'll take years, not matter how much I mass farm my cows!

So before I go off travelling again in my world - for more hardened clay, red sand new stone types, here's a few small updates. First off, a week ago exactly I randomly restructured the wheat farm so it was no longer "Box shaped". It still comes out of the mountain that way, but now instead of a box, goes into a half-circle and there's sooooooo much more room down the bottom now. I had to do all the rows again, and the piston and redstone work, but it looks better.
Previously, the very old box shape:
After:
My obsession with circles and half-circles continues. The only bad part was, I accidentally cut off the way down to the carrot/potato/melon farm, so I had to find a new way up. At first I dug up from the recently moved cactus farm (Where the old carrot/potato/melon farms were - only that didn't go to well! I ended up coming out in the middle of the fountain! So I worked from the top down, moving it across to the left a little and created this neat little walkway:
It's kinda cool and there's a small step-up to the automatic wheat maker round the back and I really don't mind coming down into the cactus farm.
I had the idea last night as well, about the front of the old halfway house, or rather the central front entrance:
The flat faced front behind the cacti wall, where the top bit comes out more.
I thought (With my circle obsession), instead of that flat front facing entrance with the overhang bedroom, what if I was to add a half-circle to the front going up to the roof? (Which would have to be extended forward.) Originally yes it was going for a log cabin feel and this would make it more of a "modern style" log cabin, but with the peaked roof of the lounge to it's left - why not?
I also got an idea about the swimming pool area. In the back wall of the mountain, there used to be changing rooms, but when I made the gravel border of the pool wider and re-done the floor, I gutted them and closed them off. So lately with the new stone types I've been thinking of giving the walls a new look. The mural wave pattern would stay, but the walls above and below it would be changed. I've played around with the idea in my creative copy of the world - and that's when I got the idea to open up the changing rooms again but as a bigger background area behind the pool.
To give you an idea, here's the maps from the creative copy:
The original:
Small area around the pool.
The improved area incorporating the back-lot that was the changing rooms:
[/spoilers]
Of course I would have to dig up the rest of the mountain above the old changing rooms as I incorporate them into the rest of the outside area, it would be a lot of work. I am tired of the gravel on the walls above the mural wave pattern also. I envision the extended back area as more a place to relax, run around, sun-bathe and chill out with faux deck chairs and loungers etc. It would also make the back area behind the pool a LOT bigger!
ALAS, I have to go travelling to get more modern materials and blocks. Every time I've tried it's not worked out with my computer's anti-virus flipping out every-time I get on a horse/donkey causing estreeeeeeme laaaaaaaaag. I had to do a couple of roll-backs and re-do some work. I won't loose stuff to my computers stupidity and lag, if it was my own fault yes but stuff and donkeys/horses due to lag - no.

This is a great survival journal. I always love seeing the grand achievements of players in their single player worlds, it really remind you of just how awesome, and creative the game, and it's players can be. Great job, keep up the good work buddy!

As the forum software was fixed along while ago to stop eating half of quotes and spoilers when you edit them, I have finally just updated the pictures in the first post - unfortunately it didn't go well.. I need to take new pictures of everywhere anyway, and it look like I'll have to do exactly that now.

Small Updates + More Plans!
