So, spawner minecarts came out a bit ago, making entirely new things possible. Sadly, their usefulness has begun to die off, due to the /summon command confirmed for minecraft 1.7. So, I was thinking add a substitute for command blocks, too.
Command block minecarts would be available through the /give command, unlike spawner minecarts. They can be crafted with command blocks and minecarts too, but this is unnecessary. Command block minecarts are invincible in survivable but breakable in creative mode, just like the real thing. This is important for it's features.
Command block minecarts are edited just like the real thing, but activated differently. There are 3 different ways to run it's commands.
-Activator rails
Driving over an activator rail will activate it.
-Punching in survival
Punching it will run the command if the option is selected in it's GUI.
-Timer
This is a feature exclusive to these. In it's gui, there is an option to run the command every how many ticks. Inserting a number and checking it will make it run on a clock. This can be all the time, or just when on an activator rail.
Command block minecarts will only activate detector rails if the output has been achieved last time ran, similar to comparitors for the real command blocks.
Many new things can be done with the ability to have command blocks as an entity. You could stack them on other entities and have them do various things.
Moderators-Don't lock this! It has ideas that haven't been added to the vanilla one yet!
Why Minecraft mobs should NEVER have multiple attacks:
- No other PC mobs do. - Mob behaviour is intended to be simple.
Why you should NOT name new "special ability" weapons as "XXX Swords":
- No other swords have special abilities. - Make a new kind of weapon.
