No thanks. I kind of live in an odd way in my world. I have my bed outside, since I usually work in this huge cavern I'm STILL working with. It's far from spawn, too. No support. Would ruin the game for many players who work in a similar way I do. Like EthosLab, for example.
Not an OP idea, since beds are already quite overpowered, but still not beneficial to the game. Think of other ways to modify creeper AI to maximize property damage.
NO USE???
Checkpoints in adventure maps.
You just got ninja'd.
1. command blocks are the new checkpoint setters
2. if it was ever added there would obviously be a mod made to disable it
3. you just got counter ninja'd
Also, I don't see this being op because you can stop it by using doors...? and a lot of people do complain about beds making the game way too easy, plus there used to be no beds at all.
I'm probably just feeding into this by simply replying to you, but Creepers can already put gaping holes in our terrain, creations and health. Do you we really go that extra pointless mile and have Creepers get a hard-on for destroying beds too?
Your welcome in advance for the great idea Oh great job saying that your idea is oh so good. It's like gypsyblackmagic when he says "So support or support?"
No support. Very vague and you bragged and assumed everyone will fall in love and marry your idea and have suggestion babies.

I'm semi-interested to see what these would look like.
Anyways, "command blocks are the new checkpoint setters". That doesn't matter. Some people like beds rather than command blocks. Plus it can add a nice decorative use.
"There will be a mod to disable it". If I still had the look of dissapproval on my ctrl + v, it'd go here. Most adventure maps avoid mods because they can be annoying to install.
"You just got counter ninja'd". You keep using that word. It doesn't mean what you think it means. Anyone have that image?
Still no support. All of your points as to why it wouldn't harm mapmakers are invalid. But, here's yet another reason it'd harm custom maps: I like using beds as decoration. I don't like when creepers break my beds and ruin parts of my builds.
Also, I don't see this being op because you can stop it by using doors...? and a lot of people do complain about beds making the game way too easy, plus there used to be no beds at all.
The reason people say bed made it way too easy was because you could skip the night. Also so people don't have houses for a few days and put their beds outside.

And so I will need to stay inside my newly rebuilt house all day because there is a creeper outside? And then I can't go to sleep because the creeper is closer than 30 blocks. Oh great. A zombie broke down my door so the creeper is entering, and he's just about to ssssssssssBOOM!!!

Just be honest, when was the last time a creeper actually did any major damage which took more
than about 20 seconds for you to fix? Not pledging my support to this idea perse, but as an
"Everything is underpowered" guy, I just had to chime in about that.
Your welcome in advance for the great idea

Pointless idea is pointless.
An alternate timeline emerges.
However, we must first start from the beginning...

That's not what ninja'd means.

Why should they do that?

(If 1.7 added this)
Thank you for my house being blown up because of that creeper that blew up my bed.
And so I will need to stay inside my newly rebuilt house all day because there is a creeper outside? And then I can't go to sleep because the creeper is closer than 30 blocks. Oh great. A zombie broke down my door so the creeper is entering, and he's just about to ssssssssssBOOM!!!
It is a vicious cycle and it is best to not start it.
