But. Without telling to not put it in jungle, The idea of jungle is a VERY large number of tree spieces in a very small area.
In a normal tempered forest, in 1 square km, we find around 5 to 10 (10 is very rich) spieces of trees.
In a jungle, this number jumps to 12 to 20, 25 spieces per square km.
Big round canopea trees don't really occur (like the suggested pic) in jungle, but instead there's several giant trees, like a fig tree, or the special strangler fig tree. A tree that wraps around another tree, more and more, to the point where he kills the other tree, but made a "net trunk" that stands up. Here's some pics:
That's when the tree wraps itself around the trunk of another tree:
And when the inside tree dies and rot, the strangler fig becomes hollow, and we (really) can climb inside it:

I rather like the current jungle. Perhaps a few minor updates, but nothing darastic. I think your ideas would better suit a new biome. (Rainforest, anyone)
Sam- I left this here because I know you like MC and hope you are on this forum. this is alex, from gym and geography class. the kid with long hair and glasses. make an account and msg me if you see this.
I'm throwing my vote into the "new biome" group. I like both ideas, but Jungles should remain how they are.

I think that this biome should be implemented, and the current "Rainforest" Should be re-colored, have cocoa removed, and named something along the lines of "Dense Forest".

I like this.... jungles are plain at the moment... I propose this should become true, and also, whilst on the topic of jungles, we should add some type of "guardian" to jungle temples.I like this.... jungles are plain at the moment... No,actually, the big trees should appear MORE OFTEN in the jungle biome and be dominant, and the small bushes ad stuff completely dominate the lower levels(TL;DR: Everything covered in vines and leaves)

I like how you picked the worst possible example of a Jungle Tree to try and give more weight to your argument. Nice one.
But anyways, I really do not like the jungle you have created. The jungle trees we have right now are big and have solid trunks whilst not having many exposed, long branches, which is good because branches like that do not work in this game very well due to the nature of blocks. I also do not like how empty and dull the forest floor you have made is. Jungles are supposed to be dense and claustrophobic, and be very difficult to traverse. Honestly, I think the current Jungles are superior to the one you have created in every conceivable way, simply because it is far, far more like what a Jungle actually is.

what guardian?
1. Was that sarcasm?
2. I worked hard to find it.
3. Not all jungles are like that.
