Are these Blocks Creative only or craftable? Maybe you could craft the Selector with a Capizitor Block and a Dispenser. Same with ther Advanced Noteblock. The greyscale block would crafted using A white a grey and a black wool block at the a Bottom a Capacitator in the middle redstone dust on the sides and a lamp on top. The Color Block using The greyscale Block in the middle and 8 different colored wool blocks around it.
PS: Sorry for my bad English
Your English is pretty good if it's not your native tongue!
These blocks would all be craftable in survival mode. However I suppose there could be other more powerful blocks that are also intensity based but creative mode only.
Maybe they could also add an Inverter, that instead of using a binary logic, "flips" the strength. For example strength 0 would cause it to emit strength 15 and when the imput is 7 the output would be 7.
That's already been suggested by other threads, and quite frankly isn't directly related to this suggestion.

It's hard criticizing ideas when one is tired, so you'd better appreciate it when I criticize yours.
I'm sorry I didn't know it has been suggested by other threads, I haven't seen it and as it is related to this thread as it is an Intensity Based Redstone Mechanic I wanted to suggest it to the sugesstion.
This thread is about blocks that are affected by intensity, not blocks that alter intensity. Here is a thread that is about blocks that alter intensity.

That would actually be very useful. You could use it as a repeater to transmit specific power levels over long distances.
Repeaters and capacitors can't do that. Repeaters only transmit the maximum power level, and capacitors I think totally block all but one level.
Of course, it doesn't necessarily need to flip it. Just a repeater variant that transmits the same power level would be nice.
I doubt it would be as efficient as people believe it would be without something like the suggested wireless output command for command blocks, but it would be possible to create a screen that's a block tall that flashes several (I.E, more than one or two) different colors, depending on how compact you want to be behind it.
A flashing, colored screen in general is possible, but again: not as efficient as people think it would be.
I'm not hating on it, I'm just telling people to think more realistically; gigantic screens would not be as possible as people are believing they would be, not without some form of compact wireless redstone. It's like, "oh yeah, flying cars being marketed to the general public!" but people keep forgetting that they would basically need to learn how to drive in three dimensions instead of two.
I like this idea and I think it can be used for amazing machines. The only problem I see is implementing the Melody and Selector into the game since the Note Block and Dispenser already exist. Either way I still think this is a good idea.

There's no need to eliminate the old to add the new.
For example, I think note blocks are superior if you just want a music box. It's easy to chain different notes in sequence with repeaters.
A melody block would be better if you want a compact way of playing a lot of different tunes. For example, let's say you want a bell that rings as a minecart approaches, and increases in pitch as it gets nearer. That would take a pile of noteblocks at different pitches, and lots of separate wires. Or you could just use one melody block, and just one wire.

I came here expecting a 'redstone is hard! make it easier NAAAOOO!!!' I got slapped in the face with amazement instantly. Full support. JEB, GET ON THIS!
Why on my green Earth would they be creative only? Me, some people are silly.

That would be wonderful.
And the light sensor they're planning should work the same way. The strength of the signal it produces should vary with light level.

No, we can already control the volume of Note Blocks by using multiples.
Please do not look at my old posts.

Multiples? I am unaware of this. May you further explain.

I think he means you can have multiple blocks with the same note, but put them at different distances to produce different volumes.
No, I mean multiple note blocks are louder than one.

I'm no good with Redstone
But an awesome idea
Hey everyone, I'm back!

Oh, ok. The original suggestion could still be implemented to save room though.
Thanks!
