You know about Nintendo's new console coming out, right?
Its the Wii U if you didn't know.
We've got Minecraft for the Xbox, but why not the Wii U thats coming out soon? Imagine this, playing Minecraft on the TV, using the Wii U remote thingy to move around, the motion controls to look around, and the touch screen to craft, acess your inventory, or interact with things! So. WHOS WITH ME.
I have a feeling that Mojang would stick to the 360, however, it isn't a bad idea. I don't like your idea about looking around with motion controls. Id rather use the controller buttons, and sticks. The center screen can be for your inventory and other things you said.
Mojang has an exclusive contract with Microsoft.
This means that Minecraft can never be on anything other than PC and Xbox.
As much as I'd like Minecraft on more consoles, it'll never happen due to that contract.

No, the contract is only for consoles. Minecraft can be on any tablet, Macs, and Linux computers.

So how do people on the Mac/Linux play minecraft?

It's a wonderful idea! And if minecraft coming to the wii u would be able to raise those graphics, like adding more advanserade shadows and water shimmer ... Would be awsome! Like the sonic shaders mod.
Uhh, Exclusivity Contract. Mojang can only port to consoles made by microsoft. Tablets and personal computers are fine, but not gaming consoles.

They probably wouldn't ratchet up the graphics for a Wii U release. All of those things
you mentioned are possible on the PC and Xbox 360, so I see no reason they would
suddenly decide to add extra graphical effects on the Wii U version.
Now, for the actual probability of a Wii U version of Minecraft. They already have it on
PC, Xbox 360 for those who think that the idea of playing a game on a computer is some
kind of hideous crime against humanity, and of course, a mobile version. They really
don't need ANOTHER version out there. Chances are just about everyone living in a
1st world country have either an Xbox, a computer or a mobile phone, and people living
in less advanced countries...well, why in the heck would they have a bunch of Wii Us there?
It would merely slow down development on the PC, Xbox360 and mobile versions of the
game, and we really don't need that.
And last but least, everyone out there, PLEASE STOP ASKING FOR MINECRAFT ON
EVERY SINGLE FREAKING SYSTEM IN THE WORLD.

He got the contract wrong, it's only for other consoles. Tablets and other personal computers are still fine.

Completely agreed. Besides, exclusivity contract.
