you know how it's annoying when you're building a big structure, such as a Cafe, and you wanna put a sign?
well with letter blocks you could put C-A-F-E, across the Cafe itself, like above the windows.
Instead of putting one flimsy little sign.
letter blocks could be crafted using wool around the perimeter of the crafting table and then Ink in the middle.
Then before you placed it, it would ask what letter you wanted, and you could type it in and....Ta-da!!!Letter blocks!!!
it would also be good on servers so instead of making letters out of BLOCKS, you could just use letter blocks.
in fact, you could Probably play scrabble....in a way.:P
This is an awesome idea, IMO, but I don't see how the blocks would work well on different designs. Like, if they had to be cobble, wool, wood, etc. There should be letter blocks designed after already available blocks. Especially wool.

SEE THAT PONY THERE? YEAH, DAS MY OC. SO **** YOU.
The main problem with that would be the sheer difficulty in localizing the blocks into languages that use a different or extended alphabet, namely nearly every single language beyond English. The blocks would either require a separate texture for each letter or extensive coding to superimpose the letter onto it, which is how signs work if I'm not mistaken.
However, I guess that if it worked like the latter did, then you could theoretically use any letter, and supposedly you could simply use a large font to make the letter fill the entire block. However, most likely the blocks wouldn't look good like that, with pure black letters slapped onto them.
If I could, I'd try making a mod to see how this would work and look, and agree or disagree based on that, but in my head I just don't really see this looking really good.
