1. decoration.. (strat thatched roof anyone? barns look more real?)
2. feed/breed animals...animals that arent already breeding would move to it eat and breed...(6 uses..thats less than the weat value but hey its auto..)
3. storage...you can put 9 weat into 1...win win...
4. maybe it can be used as burning fule as well...less than coal but still useable...
Also if you jump on one from a high height and land on the hay bale block than you wont take any damage
I could only see this being useful if animals would eat from the hay bales when we put them on the ground. Make each hay bale require 64 wheat or something, and have it deplete as the animals eat it.

or you make a tie for it, and then you have to make a base block (like a chest) with in the crafting box completely, then you craft them together making the bale, then you will be able to add wheat to the block and you can then check on it and the animals will feed on it

personally i just wanted to use them as decorations but ill add those because they sound good
I think they point more towards Jebs idea of horses in the game, however It very well could be a red herring and hasnt been confirmed yet. Also I think It would be nice for decoration, but maybe a 2x2 square of wheat rather than a 3x3. If you think about it thats 9 wheat per block. Then time 9 by the roofing you need to cover your barn or whatever. Adds up

Not my fault the suggestion wasn't very informative. How should I know what they should be used for?
And I don't think it's very necessary, but they could make cool blocks for decoration.
Why just have a chance to? Why not just have them always eat from it? It'd make an automatic farm very easy.
Also, a bit off topic, OP's avatar is scary as heck, Catsgobark's avatar is funny.
What's up? I'm the proud co-owner of a little ClassiCube server called Minebuild.

Sometimes, you just need a little more cave.

I could store my wheat like I store my diamonds. Would really cut back on space.

Why would you need so much space for Diamonds? How much Diamonds have you ever obtained anyway?
Anyway, they are being added already, i know you're from the 2012 so i forgive you for not being a time traveller.
