I made my home in a village, I repaired and improved it, but by the time I finished that all but two of the Testificated died. Because I want a village with, well, villigers in it i locked the two in one of the houses, hopping they will breed. Multiple minecraft days, a few irl hours, later and I still see no baby Testificate. But then I got an idea, what if we could breed testificats manually and instantly? To even things out the villigers will take a long while untill they can "breed" again, probably after the baby grew up.
You would breed villigers with none-other than cake, of course! I figured cake because it's a some-what uncomman food item. I thought about cookies but coa-coa beans is too rare. Please, leave a response on what you think about this.
You do realise that Villagers don't Breed at random, right? If you want them to Breed, you're going to have to build houses for the babies. Villagers Breed according to the amount of doors in the Village. If you replace the Doors in the Houses every morning, your Village should be full to the brim yet again. And you could even increase the max population of the Village by building more Houses with Doors. Plus, why don't you just sleep and skip the Villager holocaust?

Excuse me, but that was my comment you just read there, bub.
i have plenty of houses for the babys, yet replacing the doors is something i haven't thought of....
Also, night is probably the only time when there safe. The mobs are not the problem, the problem is with the sink holes in and around the city wich the testificates fall in and die. By the time i patched them up all but two were dead...
Actually, that's not always true. I have a friend who has a medium sized village and they are popping out babies everywere, regardless of the ammount of houses.

The Villagers actually breed according to Doors, so I suggest you fix up them Doors.

You're disagreeing with a guy who has read every single MCWiki page in existance. It is always true. Your friend is probably just spamming Doors in all the Houses.
We should be able to breed WITH testificates! Too long do I sit out waiting for the right testificate woman for me. I'll settle down as a landscape architect/carpenter! We'll have children with awkward half-giant heads!
I also have that problem where I started with 8 testificates and now I only have two, a blacksmith and a regular one. I have about 14 houses and an iron golem.
The reason I suggested this is because there are problems with villigers not breeding, even when conditions are met. The only villigers i have are locked inside of a house untill they breed.

You just figured out where Jeb gets his inspiration. You deserve a medal for participation in the Gaming Rocannaisance Organisation.
Marfagames, ah yes i remember you. I made a thread asking for help with Villiges. I done what your thread said, but yet no luck. I am trying to get a pic or two to show you one your thread at the moment.

You shouldn't be able to force breed a mob that's like close to the species you are. Animals make sense but then when you take this into consideration it's like forcing two couples to make babies and that's not right...

But you can force-breed by building homes for them.
And I just realized that the whole "max population according to houses" thing reminds me a lot of Age of Empires.

Oh... Well I reckon you have a major problem with your Villagers.
I suggested that... But his Villagers must have had work done by the Zombies or something O.o
The Minecratf Wiki is only right half of the time
I am ninja'd far too often.
Excuse me? The wiki is official. I wouldn't be surprised if Mojang themselves edited it.
Lol that's hilarious but wrong :S
