Yeah Minecraft only has that Red/Blue 3d support in it, not true 3D Vision support. And as stated Minecraft is run with OpenGL, NOT DirectX. 3D Vision likely requires DirectX to work!

ahhhhhh... thanks for explaining it!
well, that sucks.
I wonder if they will ever upgrade Minecraft to DirectX?
That would be a great improvement, no more shitty "invisible world" glitches because I have a GTX570.
I highly doubt that, since it requires re-programming the entire thing. I also hope they don't, since I don't think Linux supports DirectX (which I use). :tongue.gif:
Don't think that'll solve the invisible world glitches though, are you sure it's a GPU issue?
Yeah i'm sure its the GPU causing it, its a common known issue with newer graphics cards.
But, to digress back to the current issue, older, less intensive games usually support both OpenGL and DirectX. So, this game falling into the "less intensive" category, should be able to handle it. But yeah, it would be a huge undertaking, but, with how much money they have been making off of some Javascript, why not start on a Minecraft 2 that uses a much stronger programming base with full NVIDIA support. (and I guess ATI too, bleh).
I love my 3D monitor, and despite what the haters say, it was well worth the price.
For whatever reason, 3D vision does not recognize Minecraft as an application... wtf???
Will someone "upgrade" to this soon?
Analglyph (red/blue) is nothing compared to 3D Vision...!!!
EDIT: Wait..Are you saying you can't run mc?
NO it shouldn't, because its a suggestion for an improvement to the game.

But yeah, backwards compatibility is always good.
I haven't tried it yet but here is a project that makes NVIDIA 3D Vision work with OpenGL in Linux: http://users.csc.calpoly.edu/~rsomers/cpe572/index.html
There is also a mod available in Windows but I don't think it will give you good enough frame rate: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/186241-modwinrenderer-wrapper-depthanglyph-colsnv-3d-vsnfs/
