Maybe they should shoot suction cup arrows that do no damage instead of real ones? Or use an arrow as the melee weapon? They could also spawn as cave spider jockeys.
Baby mobs are harder to fight against than normal mobs. So the baby skeletons could maybe fire faster. But it would have to balanced so that you can still reach them without getting knocked back too much.
Reduce the amount of time lava sets you on fire for. I get that lava is supposed to be a hazard, but if you manage to escape it and there's no water nearby, you either die anyway from the fire or you sit in a corner for five minutes eating porkchops just so you can see again. It's more annoying than fun or challenging.
Plates that you can place on a block top, put food onto, and then eat off of.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
can we have some of the retardedness items out of villager trading system for console version (and even pc)
What I mean is stuff like buying redstone with emeralds, selling diamonds for emeralds, selling gold for emeralds,
WHY would you buy redstone when you can go into a mine and find them easy.
WHY would you sell diamonds when you have spent alot of time finding and is the most needed thing in the game.
WHY would you sell gold (yes, ik it is a crappy material for tools and armour. BUT, it is useful for other items - golden apple, golden carrots, etc...)
What I suggest is that you make redstone sellable, and that diamond and gold can be buyable. As this will make survival mode for fun to play and make less quiting and less make people not play minecraft cus of 247 time-consuming of hunting these hard materials.
Well on some world types the redstone&gold trades are useful, especially for my superflat&sky island survival worlds, however for the console edition they should bring back the eye of ender trade from priests since it was the only legit non cheating way of getting them on a superflat world(since on console edition superflats nether fortresses don't exist). I play on the costom superflats often on that edition of Minecraft,so it would be nice if they re-added that trade. But I think on certain world types, those trades are relevant.
Make it so that enderman in the Overworld and Nether will always drop at least one ender pearl. I always find enderman hunting to be the most boring part of the game, since they're already rare mobs. In the End, due to the ease of farming, they can retain or even lower their drop rate.
Maybe not as easily as slime blocks, but still fast. It's annoying when you accidently break a slime block because of how fast it breaks.
For that matter, swap how easily slime blocks break with how easy sponges break. Sponges are meant to be put down and picked right back up most of the time. Slime blocks not so much. I feel your pain on the accidental breaking.
What's wrong with coal blocks? And there is black wool and obsidian.
Coal blocks don't have the best texture, theres no stairs or slabs, obsidian doesn't count because it has a purplish tinge to it, plus if your a builder it looks kind of ugly. Also when you want a dark building your out of good options because all the above blocks don't blend well together. if your a builder you know wool doesn't work for lots of things, so thats why.

I used to think air was free until I bought a bag of chips. -unknown
PixelNinja112 is right. I "WISH" I could use Coal or obsidian for a lot of my builds! Sadly their are no Stair or Slab versions. and I can't use any other type of material to replace Obsidian or Coal Stairs or Slabs. (It would be great and dare I say AWESOME is they where added) and I really try to stay away from having to use wool for my builds (Their texture is more for cloth like builds then solid builds and are just too puffy)
