As long as it's a separate gamemode/world type and exclusive to that, I only have one problem, with that being lag. But Amplified is also a separate world type and it can cause lag, too.
That way at least you'll have full control over the disasters happening or not, so it would be much better.

If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.

this doesn't sound fun in any way, even as an optional features. It's just a bunch of RNG 'screw you' nonsense that can kill you or your world at any time, with next to nothing the player can do against it. surviving wouldn't come down to skill or knowledge of the game, but pure and stupid luck, you need to hope that you're in the right place when a volcano or tsunami strikes. If you're not, good luck you just died. and there was nothing you could do to prevent it...
why are you so negative? you seem to hate literally EVERY suggestion.
Anyway back on topic
I like the fact that it Seperate so when I feel like playing, I can play hardcore+ or just normal Hardcore, but as other say, it can cause the lag spike.

This seems annoying rather than fun, really. I don't think building an amazing structure just to have it be torn apart by a tornado or some other disaster is fun. I don't think dying from a tornado is fun either, especially when it's completely out of your hands.
No support.

It's up to Mastermined whether or not she wants to support the idea.
She's completely right about it being luck-based—if you're unlucky enough to get one of the last three listed your world will either crash, or you'll die over and over again. Other than that, if you stay elevated and covered using stone nothing can ever get you. So the lag isn't the problem, it's that it won't change any difficulty.

Part of what makes Minecraft fun is that the challenge is based solely on the player's decisions and control. Even the random events such as lightning strikes are not a real problem depending on your decisions. Charged creepers can be avoided by pillaring straight up, if need be.
A random event that causes huge changes in the world is not a challenge. It's just randomly punishing the player for no reason. This is frustrating in normal games. In a game where your choices are the most important thing, it's the sort of thing that just makes you quit.
hello everyone, so we all knoow hat hardcore mode are boring. And pretty much just a hardened survival with 1 life.
So my proposal in order to make hardcore mode more intersting is to include disaster.
Is to include something that people have been turning down for a few years now...
Natural disaster:
- list of annoying disasters -
Yes that's totally fun, to have my buildings destroyed beyond control and my game lagging when it doesn't need to.
I think this is a cool addition for minecraft.
It really isn't.
oh and there will be an option in advanced setting which can toggle disaster on or off
so that it's both a win to those who want disaster and those who don't.
Ah, the classic "it's optional" road. It doesn't work here. If an idea is bad, making it optional won't save it. Best not to have it touch the game at all.

Mastermined didn't hate my charged trapdoors suggestion.
OnT: So this suggestion is suggesting an option where you have a chance to have everything you worked for in HC destroyed, that's completely out of your control. Sounds fun like a completely unneccesary waste of time. Might as well keep this option off if it serves no benefit to the player.

Console Battle is two games rolled into one: gambling (whether or not you get one of the OP weapons) and betting (which teammate won't turn on you, since teaming is pretty much a requirement to kill off another team)! Of course, it's not all chance; at its core, Battle is about triumphing and defeating other players... by kicking them out if they win to make yourself feel better.
hello everyone, so we all knoow hat hardcore mode are boring. I disagree. Sometimes even Easy mode is enough to keep me on my toes, and I've been playing for a long time. And pretty much just a hardened survival with 1 life. And that is all it is. Nothing Else.
So my proposal in order to make hardcore mode more intersting is to include disaster. Do you actually play Hardcore? It seems like in every one of these kinds of posts, it's always questionable whether or not the person has actually played in Hardcore mode before.
Natural disaster:
-Tornado : which will spin blocks and smash player Yeeeaaahh... Ever notice how rarely mobs or other natural events affect the world? Most people don't want to rebuild something they spent time on. That's why ghasts belong in the nether, and Creepers only make small holes.
-meteor: large obsidian boulder with diamond in it (not op because you need diamond pick to mine obsidian) So, if this lands in the place I'm trying to clear out for construction, I'm screwed if I don't have a Diamond Pick.
-earth quake: shake player screen, create random crater Again, nobody likes random block damage.
-Tsunami: large water that if a player touch will do many damage, howevr can greatly reduced using water prot enchant I love how you didn't even specify exactly what a Tsunami is. Is it an entity, or does it consist of actual Water Blocks?
-volcano: will form volcano which will burn the area with lava
-acid rain: rain that will poison the player, have to go inside The meteor was bad enough in the realism realm, but why is it raining acid on Minecraftian Earth? And besides, I don't want to wait inside of my house for twenty minutes because of something I couldn't control.
oh and about water protection enchantment, it is a treasure only enchantment. And it can only be found near dungeon near ocean monument
I think this is a cool addition for minecraft. And I really disagree.
oh and there will be an option in advanced setting which can toggle disaster on or off You can't just act like "Oh yeah don't hate on this 'cause it's OPTIONAL." No. When we review a suggestion, we review it with the setting turned on. If you have a setting, people will never turn it on. Oh, and ever notice that Mojang NEVER EVER adds a setting for any of the other updates to the game, like 1.9 PVP?
so that it's both a win to those who want disaster and those who don't.

You can't just block hate with "oh ya it's optional". Because then Mojang has to balance two games, one with the setting on and one with it off. So it's not a win to both sides, it's just extra work for Mojang for the tiny few that think random punishment is a "challenge".

My avatar is a texture from a small block game I made in Python. It's not very good and it probably won't work if you install it.
I'm very alone in my Minecraft worlds as I don't have a very good internet connection to run a server. If you're like me, you might be interested in my Posse mod suggestion.

I always thought hardcore mode was very boring. Disasters would certainly make it more interesting and enticing!

OP said there are an option to disable it and will be disabled by default.
Just because it's optional doesn't mean it's a good idea. It's still entirely luck-based and doesn't sound fun (to me), either way.
