The Glop
The Glop is a boss mob which bears a resemblance to a slime. It is found in swamps, usually around lakes. Only 1 Glop can be alive at a time. The Glop jumps to move just like a slime. Appearance
The Glop is 10 blocks tall and is 20x20 in diameter, making it the largest mob in minecraft. However, it can change its size in attacks. It looks like a slime, but it is brown. It has a pink block resembling a brain inside it. Its 3 face "blocks" now make a shape like an "angry face", instead of a face. Gloops
Gloops are smaller versions of the glop, about the same size of a medium-sized slime, but can also come in small slime variants. They look exactly like the Glop, but smaller, and has the slime facial expression as the slime. These don't spawn naturally, and can only be spawned when a Glop multiplies. They are exactly the same as medium/small slimes respectively, and don't have any special attacks. They look like the Glop only to make it different from medium slimes and to show that they have come off of it. They kinda work like the cells in the game agario. If the Glop, or a bigger gloop, jumps onto a gloop which is smaller than itself, the gloop disappears and the glop/gloop that ate it grows. If a gloop eats the glop the gloop becomes a smaller glop. If the Glop or gloop eats a slime, it will also grow bigger, so the slimes flee from the Glop.
Stats & attacks
Instead of having health, you have to get him as small as you can, until he is as small as a small gloop, and then kill him. The glop lets off a 1/4 of his body every time he takes 10 full hearts of damage, which makes his damage done less and less. He starts with 200 half hearts of health (100 full hearts.), and when he starts off his melee attack does 5 full hearts of damage.
Attack 1- Jump Slam: The Glop jumps about 15 blocks into the air, and then slams down. If Glop lands on you, you get knocked back a few blocks and take 10 half hearts of damage, but it is easily dodged. If he doesn't land on you, he gets smaller and a bunch of tiny gloops spawn around him.
Attack 2- Gloop Shot: The Glop gets slightly smaller and shoots a tiny gloop at you. This attack does about 2 half hearts of damage. If it hits, the gloop disappears. If it doesn't, it stays around.
Attack 3- Flat Mode: The Glop shape-shifts into a large, brown puddle. It can move much faster in this form, and uses it to get closer to you. However, it takes much more damage in its form. Drops
Glop Brain x1-2- Can be placed (it is half the size of a block and is put in the middle of the block placed on) as a trophy. It can also be put in a water bottle by crafting it, making a Bottle O' Brain. This Bottle O' Brain does about 1.0 of damage but fills up 3.0 points of hunger AND gives you back the bottle. Sounds tasty.
Goop x5-10- Can be placed to make a brown layer not unlike snow, which slows anything down while walking over it. If you pile up the layers so they make the block, the block can be walked through, albeit slowly, like a fluid, but it is solid, like a, well, solid.
Friendly, Tamable Gloops!
A cool feature about killing the Glop is that, after you kill it, 3 little smiley, slimey, tiny gloops will spawn and then follow you. You can kill this, but why would you want to do that? It's a friendly gloop! These friendly gloops need to be tamed, even if they are already following you, with a piece of grass (the grass itself, not the grass block).
"wild" Friendly Gloops have 5 half hearts, but when you tame it, it doubles it. This health can also be expanded one heart by one by feeding it goop, and it also makes it bigger. The biggest a tamed FG can get is the size of a medium slime.
These friendly gloops can be sat down like a dog or cat, and can also be dyed any color. If you right click one with a banner, it will have the banner's pattern on the sides. Also, all "living" mobs tend to stay away from the tamed Gloop, as it stenches. However, if you give the FG a flower, they won't avoid it anymore. Creepers are an exception to this, as apparently the fizzling fuse inside of them make them not smell anything but smoke.

Ooo! I like this. The overworld needs a boss mob, as the nether has the wither, and the end has the dragon. I like how this isn't just a gigantic slime like most swamp boss suggestions are. it has its own appearance and attacks, as well as minions. (Gloops.) I like how you get a trophy and something functional after the fight. the wither has the beacon, and the dragon just has the trophy :c I don't really like how you instantly get a friendly gloop after you kill him though. maybe you should be able to tame the ones that come from the glop itself, so you can get more than one, and if you have the will to not kill all the minions you get a friendly lil pet

Good idea about the Friendly Gloops, but i really think that you shouldn't be able to tame them in-battle, as that will just ruin the concept of the "minions". I'll change it so it will drop 2-3 friendly gloops behind it. Another reason you can't tame the normal gloops is because they will attack you, and it will be weird trying to tame a hostile mob. Plus, killing minions is basically how you beat the boss, as the Glop will grow bigger and bigger if you keep not killing the gloops. Thanks for the support!
Edit: Oh, you mean that if you don't kill the gloops and then you kill the glop, then they become passive and tamable? Yeah, i could see that. Cool idea.

This is cool! And I have a suggestion: The Glop will also grow if it eats a Slime, Slimes flee from it, and it will chase Slimes, but only if it can't detect a player. Support.

1.8 had both of those (Elder Guardians and Bunnies.). Otherwise, thanks for the support!
Elder Guardians are not bosses, just stronger variants of another non-boss mob. Bunnies were only tamable a few of the snapshots, and aren't now in the full release.
