Hi everyone, I haven't made any threads in a while, so I thought I'd make one now.
Everybody (who's not a n00b) knows that nether warts can't be grown with bonemeal, so I came up with something else. While battling wither skeletons in a nether fortress, they will commonly drop wither bones. These have all properties of normal bones, but produce a special type of bonemeal: Withermeal Basically, withermeal can only be used on nether warts to make there growth increase and will reduce growth of normal plants. It is also a substitute for black dye.
New ideas: using two wither bones and a nether wart (nether wart for potion effect) you can craft a Wither Bone Dagger This small dagger has only 65 durability, deals 4 damage and inflicts wither effect on victims for 10 seconds each hit.
Cooking a nether wart will give you a new item: Baked nether wart recovers 5 HALF hunger points.
Glowstone Rock Candy
This stuff take longer to eat than a normal foods so its not recommended for quick fighting and pvp. This stuff is meant for recovery time. When eaten it gives a hunger bar regen that goes up to half the hunger bar and will keep it there until it runs out (probably 20s?) This also gives a good use for getting glowstone.
Soul Encrusted Rock Candy
When you craft soul sand around a glowstone rock candy, it will craft soul encrusted rock candy that has a 25% chance when eaten to add one new golden half heart, but you can get more by eating more. When you are attacked however when the hearts drain they will be gone until you eat more.
I don't know if this is actually that useful.
Like CraneDK said, you'll rarely have to use large quantities of Nether wart. Force growing them with wither meal will most likely never be necessary, unless you got really unlucky when searching for a Nether fortress. And substituting ink sacs for black dye also doesn't really validate it's existance, as ink sacs are probaly one of the easiest types of dye to find and collect. No support, sorry...
Why would you want to make a normal plant go down in growth? It doesn't make any sense.
Also, why would you struggle finding a nether fortress to kill a wither skeleton and get wither meal for black dye when you can just kill squids in the overworld?

Neither of those are unique or useful.
Sorry but,
Still no support; not useful at all.
Umm that was already there, Im making the new idea now XD
Wow a rip off of bone and bone meal, and why would we need to speed nether wart growth considering there only use is to make these pretty overpowered potions! And that dagger is pretty overpowered and its not weak considering the fact that it takes slightly more damage than an iron sword and even if the durability is low, you could still make those pretty easily since wither bone is going to be a common drop and you could speed growth the nether warts with the "withermeal"! And don't get me started with the cooked wither!
A sort of redundant idea. The concept makes sense and all, but I don't think there should ever be something to boost Nether Wart growth, given how painfully useful they are.

Yeah, I see your point there, I think I should have thought this idea through a little better...
While the idea does sound interesting and is quite original, the problem is how already easy it is to grow Netherwart. Unlike most Crops, Nether Wart can drop around 2-4 Nether Wart. Nether Wart also grows quite fast and at random intervals for around 3 minutes for a random stage of Nether Wart. So having Wither Meal on it wouldn't be quite necessary.
As for the dagger, I would find it OP, since it's as strong as a Diamond Sword and is much more easier to craft, whether it has low durability or not. And the Baked Netherwart provides nearly half the health necessary to use. Which means you would only need to consume one or two of these to recover full hunger, making it superior over other foodstuffs that may be easier or harder to obtain.
Partial Support, but my 2 cents to make the recipes more expensive:
You need 9 Nether Wart to make a single Clump of Nether Wart. 9 Clumps of Nether Wart makes a Bundle of Nether Wart. Replace the Nether Wart with Bundles of Nether Wart in the recipes. So 81 Nether Wart for a Wither Dagger, and to heal 5.5 drumsticks.
You need 2 blocks of Wither Bone Blocks to make a single piece of Wither Meal. (Wither) Bone Blocks (made with 9 bones) could look like a rib cage, and is a good storage for bones.
3 Wither Bone Blocks creates the Wither Spine. It looks like a black Cobble Wall, but with little spikes on the sides. Replace the Wither Bones in the Wither Dagger with the Spines. So 9 * 3 * 2 = 45 Wither Bones for a decent dagger.

I like the idea of wither bones, wither meal: not so much, because who needs nether warts? You usually need 1 slot and that'll last you ages.
The dagger is cool. But I don't think the nether wart is suitable in the recipe. How much damage does it do (Besides whither effect) and what is its durability?
I don't think MineCraft needs more food, but it is the very first nether food; apart from rotten flesh...
I also think the drop for whither bones should be uncommon. Dagger would be too strong.

I didn't think about that I'm not sure... But if you didn't have many then this could be useful.
Bone app the teeth.
Understandable, sorry you don't like it...
Bone app the teeth.
CraneDK and Broccoli_Monkey have a point.
Unless you just happen to be low on netherwarts, you'll never need that many anyways. By extension, this means you won't be using this a lot, if ever.
No support; wouldn't be hardly as useful as normal bonemeal.
My suggestion: Give the wither bone/wither bone meal a unique use, to make it an item worth getting.

Support. In a question of why or why not, I prefer to go with why not.
I really like this idea, especially the Dagger, However, I think the dagger should be two bones and a blaze rod. Anyways, support!
