Hey everyone! I was thinking about how armor is make on a crafting table and i thought to myself, Why isnt armor made on an anvil? So the idea popped up in my head that armor, tools, and weapons should be made using an anvil. You could still repair stuff on it but you would just have to do it i the 3x3 block area. now the anvil itself would still be made using a crafting table, but you have to craft armor, weapons/tools on the anvil! Also wooden and stone tools are still crafted using a crafting table! only iron, gold, and diamond stuff are crafted using an anvil. How does that sound?

Oh wait sorry i forgot to mention that wooden and stone tools are still made using a crafting table! The original post has been changed so it shows that wooden and stone tools/weapons are still crafted using a crafting table. Sorry bout the misunderstanding

But still, needing to acquire 31 iron ingots just to craft an iron pickaxe ( Which actually needs an addition 3, so 34 ingots. ) is just annoying, and don't forget that the anvil will eventually break and you will need to make another. Maybe some kind of " Forge " which needs to be crafted by putting a crafting table in the middle and iron in the corners.

Gathering almost half a stack of iron with a stone pick, just to craft an iron pick? Forcing the player to grind to progress THIS early in the game? No thanks. Not to mention, the anvil will break, forcing me to grind for another 31 iron just to continue crafting with iron/diamond. No support.
