Mob name: Ghoul Mob Class: Hostile/Neutral Mob Health: 20 Hearts Mob Environment (where it spawns): Grass, nighttime Mob Desc: The ghoul is much like the zombie in that it is a relatively easy mob. It has the same damage per hit, but slower. The Ghoul is extremely slow, and the player can easily outrun it. To balance this the Ghoul has 20 hp worth of life (or death?) and spawns more frequently outside then the zombie. It also does not burn in the sunlight, but dies upon touching water.
Its body was warped, it shambled towards me, and even after being slashed at a multitude of time by my sword it was only barely injured. The smell of decaying flesh was horrible, I felt about to vomit. Oh someone help me...
And thank you Orion-Pyro for making this epic sig addition!
I love the idea of having similar mobs to the originals.
maybe the ghoul would be 3 blocks tall? for 1 1/2 block?
would love to see baby spiders that can scale walls.
or skellies that shoot flaming arrows

GENERATION 16: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.

Love it! How's your progress with learning Java? You should contact DrZhark or Mr. Osukhama and let them help you implement these awesome creations!
Actually I started to implement this into a mod. (Also the Spiked Grem). I've made a program that turns .blend files into what Minecraft can read (With the exception of legs, you still have to designate what boxes are legs). Sure, you wont be able to have the same texture map, but texturing is easy for Minecraft mobs.

Can't wait... but don't forget the Iron Maggot :biggrin.gif:
It feels almost too easy with 20 life and really slow. That's about the same life as a creeper. Perhaps it should have more life? Be able to open doors even?
The only problem I had was the "dies instantly when it touches water"
This removes all the threat of the 20 health because the player can just dump water on the ghoul.

Muncher is right, listen to him, he can cure the blind and make paraplegics walk.

I agree, but it should have some weakness since it doesn't burn during the day.

20 hp would mean 4 hits with a diamond sword. Every hostile mob dies with 2 hits. Effectively stronger. You don't want me to make it 8 hits with a diamond sword, cause that would be near undefeatable with a wood/stone sword or punch
perhaps if t was only weak to natural water, that way the player would have to lead it into water to easily get rid of it.
The only way I can think of doing this is if the water is still he gets hurt. Another way would be for him to not be able to swim, allowing for you to drown him.

ah I like that! Him not being able to swim would work great.

Like....if he/she (what gender please tell.) was in a pool of a 1 block deep water maybe it could slowly sink adding a steam effect as if the water were melting it? that would be awesome to get 50 in my man made lake.... GET THE POPCORN!
WHAAAT? A MODDD? well, yes and no. Yes that it is a mod and no, it has not been released yet. but here are some screens of its progress: (note that the textures are mock ups, and in no way final)
The head is a bit to wide, but i'm about to fix that. It does not burn in the day, I have yet to get it to drown. It's currently as strong as the regular zombie, but I will eventually give it extra hp at the cost of its speed.

Your probably thinking of Prefix Mobs.
