When you die and you lose everything in your inventory. I want to have a little compus or something on the screen that directs me to where the heck i died at so I can get my stuff! I was deep under a ground and had mined a ton of gold, diamond and iron and then i run across a dungeon spawn point and get killed because those stupid skeleton arrows knock me back so i can't hit them with a melee weapon. Now I can't find where I was at and lost everything. I am sick of this happening and not being able to find my way back to get my stuff.
Yeah, and we should have a force field that keeps mobs from damaging us, just so we don't have to deal with that.
On topic, I think you missed the survival part of Survival Single Player. Last time you died, did you get a compass to tell you who got stuff? No. Next time you die, will you get a compass? NO!!!!
Heh? This isn't space combat we are talking about. Most advanced thing in this game tech wise is a steam powered mine cart. Where are you pulling force fields from?
I'd be perfectly happy if i knew that when i died, all my stuff would be places in a chest in the nearest dungeon chest (mobs have to put something in those chests, and look at all those goodies all over my dead body). So, if I wanted all those blocks back I had, i would have to fight my way back down, kill everything and open the chest. But currently you drop everything and if you don't find it in a certain period of time (i think) it disappears, so when I am confused where I was at (i do torches, but after a while there is a lot of torches and i get confused) i don't have to worry about losing it when I quit out of frustration.

I'm pretty sure Deceased Lopez was being sarcastic. If you make it so you can always find your stuff again, then where's the risk in exploring? If you do that, then you might as well make it so mobs couldn't hurt you (hence the "force fields" quip).
Seriously though, it is called Survival Single Player for a reason. you want to survive because you might lose all your tools and treasure if you don't. As many times as I've been annoyed by losing all my stuff and not being able to find it again, this is not a good idea.
