Seed is: -4110790259237732591 Near spawn is a nice floating plate, as well as four villages, and three large lakes/seas. East of spawn is a large mountain range that generates overhangs, a huge floating island suspended by a 3x1 thin stalk, and a large floating plate.
*Gapes at beauty* Wha...b...it...WOW. I can honestly say I have never seen something like that before in Minecraft. (And I've been playing since late Alpha.) Well, that's not quite true, but BTM and PTM don't really count.

All praise be to Teh Norch. The new terrain gen is incredible; it can do things such as smooth mountains and steep cliffs, yet the extremes have been tweaked to allow for stuff like this.
Unfortunately we don't have that many seed hunters ATM; I guess people are waiting for the gold release before doing serious hunting. Even if my seed finds are ruined by changes.
I am curious as to how you always manage to find such good ones :wink.gif:
I love your site :smile.gif: Anything that makes it easier for people to find good seeds is wonderful. We could always use more seed hunters as well! I really miss the guy who did the jaw-dropping seed videos (try hard gaming.) He was the best.
I use Zombe's Modpack for its flight mod (it allows 10x speed, so I can zoom around quickly) and for its teleportation.
I then generate a seed, look for mountains briefly, and then regenerate if I don't see anything cool. I usually seed hunt while watching TV/movies or chatting because it doesn't take that much attention.
If I find something interesting, I look around more. From way too much experience I can sort of tell if there's a chance of something epic in the seed. Like terrain generates like terrain it seems.
Once I find a promising seed, I use the minecraft stronghold finder as it is blazingly fast and shows biomes and coordinates. I then teleport to mountain biomes to check.
I also set my standards for seeds ridiculously high. This is the most important thing, I think.
Here's an example of something I just found:
This is pretty cool, but not worthy by itself. However something like this can signal other cool stuff, so I followed a mountain range and found this formation:

This guy is still the kind of seeds to me: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/199319-jaw-dropping-seeds-new-9th-video-uploaded-crazy-seeds/page__hl__jaw dropping seeds Sadly his stuff is for pre 1.8. We need more people like him!
The stronghold in it is really awesome too, it has both a library, AND and ender portal!!!!!
