I just put in the seed "DesertPlease" and it gave me one, but you could also try that Primordial Desert mod, (off topic, yes, but its an amazing map creator).... Hope this helped.

Desert fairly close to the snow spawn with a village near a lake and plenty of timber. Just cross the swamp and head north a bit and you'll find the village. Coordinates/pics in post.
