Important: If using MCEdit to import the InfinityCannon.schematic, you must use the newest version that supports the comparator block. Otherwise, if you try to rotate the cannon at all, the comparators within the cannon may not be facing in the correct direction to allow the redstone circuit to pass through it. (Also the case for the hoppers)
The schematic file is in the MapInfo folder inside the zip file.
About the Cannon:
The Infinity Cannon was built for the Minecraft Snapshot 13w04a (For Minecraft 1.5 Redstone Update), and will not work with older versions of Minecraft. The cannon never needs to be reloaded and has the option to be fully automated. Read below for more information.
Using the Cannon:
There are a few options when using the Infinity Cannon. Once you have selected your options, use the FIRE button to fire the cannon.
Short Distance: Turning this option on will allow the cannon to fire at a shorter range for close-enemy combat. When this option is off, the cannon can fire TNT to about 100 blocks.
Less Precision (More Target Area): This option will allow the cannon to fire with a wider target area. The three TNT blocks, when fired with less precision, will have an average spread of 5 to 15 blocks between each other. When this option is off, the TNT will have a spread of only 2 to 5 blocks between them when fired.
Full Automation: This option will allow the cannon to keep firing until the full automation is turned off. To initiate full automation, flip the full automation switch and then press the FIRE button. The cannon will not stop firing until you flip the full automation switch again. This option is great for setting traps, or initiating the cannon from a player's action.
Thanks for the feedback. Wanderer: Customized aiming would be quite awesome! I thought about it, but couldn't really get it to fit in the space I had. It would be cool to see you come up with that. it would add a great deal of flexibility to the cannon. Have fun!
The most notable parts from the new updates are: Dispensable TNT, and reloadable dispensers with hoppers. Basically, there is a TNT spawner that has a flow of water going in 3 different directions. The TNT will despawn shortly after it flows through the water channel, if it cannot refill any of the hoppers. The hoppers are directed into separate dispensers to keep them infinite. And the dispensers activate TNT upon dispensing them. If you time it right, you have yourself a powerful cannon. The full automation option is a timer that keeps triggering the cannon, the short distance option reduces the amount of TNT propellant, and the less precision option just moves the blocks around the projectile TNTs.

This is awesome. Just to bad it can't be built in survival. (Imagine. The ultimate fortress. the infinite tnt would even make a wasteland you'd have to navigate!)
