Yello, is this based on a mod? I'm just curious. I'll see what I can do, no promises (I'll notify you if I find it not realistically doable). Raining blood, hm I'll have to try a few things. If it's not too much to ask, I'd like a link to this mod (like a showcase or something) so that I have something to take reference from. Hopefully it's possible ^^
It all sounds possible and realistically doable. A few scoreboards to keep track of things, quite a lot of executes, and I don't see why this wouldn't be possible
Make a mob with a certain UUID and then summon a thrown potion/snowball on the mob you want it to attack with and make the Owner of the thrown potion the UUID of the mob you wanted it to attack.
If you want it to attack the opposing team, you could probably do that if you were doing /summon with the UUIDs, etc... But if you're naturally spawning them without a specific UUID and you want them to attack the opposing team, I might not be able to do that. AbsentFuture might be able to help you with that.
I can still do it for you, it's just that you'll have to do manual setup for additional mobs on sperate teams and if you have more than 2 teams fighting against each other it'll become a lot more command blocks. But if it's just 2 teams it should be fine. I was thinking of trying to add a seperate command that allows you to add more mobs to teams (with manual setup unfortunately).
yep I was just planning to do it for 2 teams, but in a form where you summon them in 'in game' attacking your opponent, a bit like battlefront but in Minecraft, and you buy troops (skeletons/zombies, etc).
anyway
I wasn't sure if what you suggested could work in that scenario
I feel like I wanna take the next request, but I don't check up on things very often, so I ask that I am given claim of the next request if you all don't mind. Thanks in advance!

No, I'll never hate you! Especially after you help me understand everything. I assumed that only one version would be posted of each thing (I only saw one of each version of completed request). Thanks for the explanation, AbsentFuture!

Could you make a "special ore" which lets you modify the command so the ore drops an item of your choice with a certain name, and you can place the special ore wherever you want (kinda like lucky block in vanilla minecraft)?

Look up "minecraft custom block drops" on YouTube or google, you'll get tons of results (you may need to add "vanilla" at the end, just so it knows)

Well you could probably do something like
1. A scoreboard of mine block
2. Then when a player has that score set to 1, scoreboard the closest item that meets the data tags such as the id of the item (because you want to replace the item that comes out of the block by the new custom ore)
3. Execute from that item a /summon to summon a the new item that comes out of your custom ore
4. Kill the same item that summoned (original) because you don't want to give it (you don't want a custom block to give you a diamond + your custom item)
5. Set score of player to 0
If you didn't understand, here's how it's going to happen.
Let's say you have a diamond block, you want it to drop a custom item, well you would make a scoreboard of mineBlock.minecraft.diamond. Then when the player has mineblock to 1, you would give a dummy to the diamond that drops from the block, then summon your custom item at the position of the diamond item that has the dummy scoreboard, and then kill the diamond, and set mineBlock to 0 in case the player mines another one.
I Hope you understood now, don't forget to ask if you need anymore help, also if you need someone to do it for you, just ask.
How would you check if it's a custom block or actually a normal block? It won't be able to tell the difference unless you add an entity and execute of that.
I believe that the idea is to use a specific normal block as the "custom block." I do feel that this would be most effective in a controlled environment, of course. It could be interesting in a normal survival world, however, because you could cause rarer blocks, such as diamond blocks, to be similar to "lucky blocks" akin to the mod; my personal assumption is that Rubybanana's intention is either this or in a well controlled environment, such as in a minigame. In a somewhat controlled environment, such as a survival map with restricted resources, I feel that it would be mostly ineffective and redundant. These are just my thoughts, of course.

Well apparently he wanted to make a lucky block, so he could use a gold block, people don't use gold blocks that much, so he could just use it. the diamond block was just an example, but he can do it with any blocks.

Well, I knew that there already were some, but in case he doesn't want to open a one command contraption and search for the correct cmd blocks. It's just easier to say how it could work.

Its not based on any kind of mod just kind of based on lots of command block creations
Daylight sensors are used to find out what time of day it is, they give out a restone signal of varying strength depending on what time it is
I would really like For mobs to attack other mobs that are on the apposing team (/scoreboard teams join [Team] @e
Ive noticed a lot of people have attempted this with (including sethbling) and Dragnoz managed to do it but only with zombies.

Yeah! You guys could improve each other's creations by giving ideas/concepts that you did.

I have a questions about responding to requests; do you have to need to have a map download or a command or can you just show them how to make it?
