These computers are always very cool.
Bravo in being persistent enough to make a cpu with ALL it's components (instead of just ram, or just an ALU, etc).
That said, we've seen this level of ingenuity before, I think all you people who can do this should team up! These projects never seem to get finished, but if you were all working together think of the possibilities!
I know one guy was working on pong but he never finished it...

Look away, now look back. THE GHAST IS NOW DIAMONDS.
Anything is possible when you smell like a man and your game is minecraft.

Yeah, I've thought this before, but I guess it's hard to collaborate when I'm fitting my minecraft time in between assignments and exams. :S
Lol, this is way bigger than first computer ever :3
I signed up just because of how impossibly wrong you are. You don't seem to realise the feat that this man has done. He is creating a working computer, in NO space. (Well technically it's the size of each electrical charge his computer runs)
He's created a virtual computer on a computer. It's just incredible really.
Actually, since it runs on Java, he's running a virtual computer, on a virtual machine on a computer, which is... Weird! O.o
I would love for notch to some how get a better redstone wire, for people like you!
like Dust + Redstone= Fast torch input output speed
Gives gold a lil more use to :smile.gif:
i love the idea of this free memory because its a computer in a computer.

GENERATION 16: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.
I'm still working on it, planning to add a proper screen once I'm finished bumping the memory up to 16 bytes, so I'm trying to keep uploading examples of how it's all going for everyone to see.
i don't see how this can be used to do anything that actually involves playing minecraft, don't get me wrong thats cool and all but i couldn't even attempt to open a door with Redstone, yea....

Yeah, it doesn't interact much with most things with minecraft, but I'm sure uses could be found. Like those combination lock doors that people have been making, it could be programmed to act like one of them.
You could make a lighting system. Pressure plate or a button turns on some lights that stay on automatically for a set amount of time before turning off again.
You could have something that automatically closes any doors you leave open at night.
Impressive. Do you have a background in computer engineering, or did you just teach yourself how to do this? Also, what is a realistic estimate of how long it took you to make this?

If I'm wrong about that, correct me please!
