Hi its my first post here but I had a question and was wondering if anyone could help. In my world im building a "Bass Cannon". Yes thats really what it is. It has 5 speakers and is really tall and really wide. But thats beside the point.
Since pistons were recently added I thought of the idea to make a shockwave. The way i see this happening is:
I would use a note block on a piece of obsidian to make the "Bass" sound
Then, I would also have a button or something that would activate a whole bunch of sticky pistons lined up together in a bunch of rows with Repeaters delaying each line so it makes a "Shockwave" effect.
I recently started to play around with redstone, repeaters, and buttons and have gotten 2 pistons to produce my desired effect. But then I got confused and thought it wasnt even possible anymore.
I thought it might be immpossible because of how the pistons and redstone wire had to placed. If the wires were placed to close together and made a "Square" shape it wouldnt activate any of the pistons. Thats why I came here to see if anyone knows of a way to make this happen (or even possible for that matter) because Im not that advanced with redstone yet.
You can make the Transformer Shockwave Pixel art..... I'm just kidding but, Keep practicing!!! I am curious if it's a glitch or something viable..... Very Cool!!!
Woah thats awesome. I just made my own replica. But since im going to need alot of rows I can only make them the same size as the ones in the video or can I just follow the pattern and make one huge one?
Here's an idea. All you'd have to do is connect a pulse limiter to the topmost input and you've got your "showckwave" result. If you want something that will actually move the player, that's a different story. This will make them bounce and produce a cool visual effect from far away.
And as for the Shockwave... would it be easiest to use the method that TKGP posted. It's 1 wide and modular, so its infinitely expandable.
And have fun blasting Discord and saving the Mane 6 xD

I think they're referring to the XBox version.
