Is there any way to make a hidden rail at all?? I have made a false door into a mountain and a minecart trips a detector rail just soon enough for the door to open and the cart to fall to bedrock and circle back to other portions of track. I would like a rail to be movable on a block connected to a piston, if possible, Do not think so, but that is what forums are for, asking.
Yes it's perfectly possible to make a hidden rail.
If it's a rail going into a clif, just make it so that the rail angles down in the block below the door. When the door is shut it looks like the rail runs into the cliff, when its open you drop down a level where the door is and keep going. Because the track is at an angle you can leave again.
On the flat and open not really one that auto-resets, but you can use a double extender to push a [dirt] block, and rail out horrizontall from a wall, thus laying a track alongside a wall for you (doesn't do corners mind!).
Remember you can't push rail vertically, only horizontally. Therefore you have to use that notion in all your designs when you want to move the rail itself.
I believe some server plugins make rails un-pushable, so if you are on a server you may need to check that.
Nope no server. So what you are saying is I can push a block that has a rail on it and it shouldn't disappear?
Not the block with the rail on it, but the actual rail. It works like that, unless you push the rail over air.
