Okay, but my 1.6.2 didn't update to 1.6.4?
It never updated my Minecraft.
Why is 1.6.4 is not told in the Mojang News?
Can someone clarify for me? Im sorry and I tried looking for someone's question like mine. Everyone says that they have 1.6.4 and I don't know why mine didn't update. It stays at 1.6.2.
I found a new way to play 1.6.2 when you have updated to 1.6.4! Go to the new minecraft launcher, then click Edit Profile. Go down to Use Version: (and put in) release 1.6.2. Now you can play on older servers
First off, the very first person to post on your thread say that you could play on older versions already.
Secondly, this is really old news.
I've written some instructions for my players, many of whom are young and don't understand about the profile editor on the new(ish) Minecraft Launcher. Don't know if embedding links is allowed but I'll try anyway - hope it helps.
1.6.4 has a MASSIVE framerate boost (I've often seen 250-350 FPS, where I'd have been at 100-150 before; I've even hit 450 FPS). Several big servers (SkyDoesMinecraft's and the Hive being two; the Mineplex as well) are already on 1.6.4, but it's very much been a "stealth" update, as it isn't mentioned in the news section.
Two things I'd like to know: 1. What happened to 1.6.3? 2. How come this wasn't announced properly, and isn't in the Minecraft News bit, only appearing on Twitter?
