Sethbling recently uploaded a new video about 1.6. He showed an MCedit filter in it, called the add attribute filter. When I tried it, Minecraft crashed when my mouse hovered over the item. I tried it in 1.6.2, 1.6.1, and 1.6 pre-release. I'll need it on a map I'm making, so I need a way to solve it! Help!
I put the items in my inventory to delete using the delete box in the survival inventory category, but I shift-clicked the items, and now they're in my hotbar. I'm holding and item, and whenever I open the world, it crashes. I tried going into .minecraft\saves\world\players and deleting my data, but I still had the items. I tried spamming the 9 button so I wouldn't be holding the item, but that didn't work either. I spent a lot of work in that world, so I don't want to delete it.
I had exatcly the same problem as you. the thing you need to do is opening the world in the older minecraft launcher in 1.5.2. you will lose all the 1.6.2 content in this world but you can use it again in the new and old launcher. im nearly 100% sure this will work i did for me!
The filter was made for 1.6. But I'll try anyway. Are you sure your thinking about the add atribbute filter Sethbling made for MCedit that let's you change what the maximum health is, knockback resistance, and a few other things by holding or wearing it?

He's saying that the ability to add attributes to items was added in 1.6, so if you downgrade to 1.5, load the 1.6 world in 1.5, then save the world, the 1.5 version will not save any content in the world which has 1.6 stuff in it.
hat do you mean?
Eventually, I deleted the world because I couldn't use it, but thanks anyway!

Oh that's the problem. I didn't know what the label was, so I left it blank. Thanks for helping!
