Hey guys, I was messing around with the new snapshot today and managed to catch all 35 variants of the horses (plus a donkey and a mule). According to the wiki, there are 7 base colors of horses: "gray, dapple gray, dark bay, bay, flaxen chestnut, buckskin, and black," and 5 additional patterns: "no markings, stockings, snowflake appaloosa, pinto, and black blanket." Here's a screenshot and the world download if anyone's interested:
Not too long lol, probably like 30-45 minutes of spawning, taming, and organizing. The grey horse was pretty difficult though.. most of the markings are white and almost impossible to see.
Tell me, from top to bottom, what colors and left to right for markings
Oh gosh. I am really bad with horse markings IRL, so I was just calling them things like big spots, little spots, black spot, etc But I've checked the wiki and I think I've got it now.
From top to bottom, the base colors are buckskin, dark bay, black, flaxen chestnut, bay, dapple grey, and grey.
From left to right, the markings are no markings, pinto, stockings, snowflake appaloosa, and black blanket.
Nice job. Do they all have different stats or does color/pattern even matter?
Honestly I didn't even test that. I'm not really sure how I would go about testing the horses' speeds, but I guess I could figure out jump height. I did notice while maneuvering them into place that some could definitely jump higher than others, but that's about it :/ Sorry! You're welcome to download the world and see for yourself though
i tried this and it took me forever to find the buckskin with no markings. it was so hard and when i was about to give up i realised that some of the buckskin ones had longer socks and i was like omg. so now my world has a kazillion horses all over it... oops

I've been playing with a script that parses a world and dumps key data about player's owned or named entities. I was looking for a way to know how to identify horse colors. Your world was perfect for that. Here's the resulting correlation between your horse colors and their EntityHorse.Variation value.

A mule is a donkey-horse hybrid.
Let me Google that for you.
Praise be to Spode.
