Yeah Pennsylvania would actually be great. I also don't have enough money. Like StereoBets92 I am a sort of small youtuber. I have never really gone to Minecon. I really want to go somewhere near Pennsylvania
Just be happy it has been in your country for multiple times because it hasn't been in my country (the Netherlands) once.

What about having two, one in Europe, lets say, and one in North America. But there are also the people in places like Asia, Australia/New Zealand and south America, any event done in any of those places couldn't be very big though because there aren't all that many Minecrafters living there, most of us live in North America and Europe, as stated earlier. Also I think Anaheim and California in general is WAY over-rated, it's also not well situated geographically or population-wise. A good geographical location for North America would be South Dakota, population-wise, Michigan would be good. I'm going in blind here and have no idea where in either of those states such a big event could be hosted. You Americans are spoiled rotten, you get everything right in your country.
I live in the middle of the United states. I can go really anywhere at a moderate expense. However, I would love for it to be held in Salt Lake City, Des Moines, Kansas City, or New York, because I can see family there. I have family at all these places so I wouldn't have to get a hotel.
Minecon is not an inexpensive experience, even if it is in your hometown.
Last year the tickets were $130 US dollars per person. You also had to be prepared to purchase the tickets within the first 30 seconds or so of them going on sale. Yes, they sell out that quickly. So even if it's in the building across the street where you live, there's no guarantee that you will get tickets in the first place.
If you do happen to get a ticket, you also have to consider the money that you will need for food, parking, and any memorabilia that you want to buy while you are there. None of those things are cheap.
If it's not in your home town, then you will of course have to pay for transportation (driving, flying, train, etc.) and hotel accommodations as well.
Here's a recommendation that I have. If you are 18 years old or above, and you are able to at least afford the travel, hotel, and food, it is possible that you can attend Minecon for free. When the announcement for Minecon is made, go to the Mojang website and fill out a request form to work as an agent at the convention. If you are selected, you will have to pay a $60 US dollar deposit for your ticket which will be refunded to you after the convention. You will have to work one of the two days of the convention, but the other day is yours to do with as you please. I did this for the 2016 Minecon and it worked out rather nicely.
How about mojang sets up some type of program for people who are too far away from Minecon to pay to watch it online.
Most of the panels are already being put onto YouTube later in the day. So if you only want to attend the panels this is good news for you.
Part of the experience of Minecon however is the participation and getting to meet the people you enjoy watching on YouTube. There's also the bag of goodies that all attendees get along with the coveted "Minecon Cape" that everyone wants.
I really hope that everyone here is able to attend Minecon at least once in your life. It was an incredible experience. However, if you are on a limited income it's a bit of a frivolous expense, so only go if you can truly afford to do so. You'll enjoy yourself much more if you don't have to worry about how much this is going to cost you.
It has been going US, France, US, UK, US there is a slight chance for it to be in a different country such as Canada (wink, wink)(come to Vancouver) but most likely to be held in one of the European countries.
I think it should be somewhere in Wisconsin this year, come on! Wisconsin has never hosted an international convention, and it would be great to have MineCon here!
I really hope it will be in New York, but it probably will not since Minecon generally follows a pattern by having Minecon in different countries every year.
MineCon is held every year somewhere in the world. Though it has broken the record for the most attendees some years, there are many of us that do not attend for the event because of its location.
It should me in Greenville NC it has never been there and want to go but they are all ways to far away.....but if not Greenville charrolate NC

The United States is larger, and costs more to fly across than the Netherlands though, Djarogames
That doesnt change the fact that I have to travel internationally which is way more expensive than traveling in 1 country

Still, Minecon has never been held close to where I live. Closest it's ever been is Las Vegas, which is 19 hours away.
Please make it in Tennessee so next year it does Have to be in the USA

Yes Please!!!!!

Most Minecrafters NOT from America will never get a chance to participate in Minecon. (myself included)
It's simply too expensive. 99 dollars for a ticket is a bit much, and don't even mention the plane tickets!
*sigh* I guess my dream of going to Minecon is never happening

Me too. And all I ever wanted was a cape.
