It's been a while since I started the game, and I wanted to document a few skins from the collection I've made and used over the years. To my dismay, I didn't think to keep two or three of the skins I made when I first started. Probably for the better, though. They sure were an eyesore, so maybe it's for the audience's sake that I discarded them.
Something to keep in mind while viewing, I started out just using colours I liked and hadn't thought about character design or detailing until just recently.
I would certainly like to hear some feedback, I'm sure I could use it when I make improvements in the future.
Now look, buddy. I'm an Engineer. That means I solve problems. Not problems like 'what is beauty', because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems. Like, how am I going to stop some big, mean mother-hubbard from tearing me a structurally superfluous new behind? The answer: Use a gun. And if that don't work: Use more gun. Like this heavy-caliber, tripod-mounted little ol' number designed by me. Built by me. And you'd best hope, not pointed at you.
I would have preferred them that way as well. However, I am unsure of how I would go about this. Do you know a website or software that applies skins to a model? If I were able to, I would certainly make an edit to the thread.

You could just try taking your time to apply them to your character in-game and take screenshots of each skin.
That would be a tedious process, but I presume it could be done. I was hoping for something less time-consuming, but if it's the only option then I suppose I shall make it so. Thank you.

Lol. The screenshots have already been taken, but I certainly appreciate the effort. I will now update the thread with more detailed pictures.

Now the images are failing to render. This is the method I was told to use when displaying images, I hope it is an error that is easy to rectify.

To download the other ones you need to make a folder in the versions folder for minecraft and put the client and JSON file for the versions in there. They all need to be named the same aside from file extensions. Once you do that, you will be able to choose that version when making a new profile with the minecraft launcher.
Update: Nope, I'm just a fool. I reuploaded all of the screenshots after putting .png in the name, when it was much simpler than that. It should be working now.

I left a few out simply because they were slightly more detailed versions of the one before them. I also left out Mk. V, but that one was ignored because of a lackluster colour scheme.

You can install custom NPCs you can create models and make them use a skin you put in specific folder the mod comes with, it will take some figuring out and an older version of minecraft though.
...
I only now realise what exactly you where trying to do, well then...

They're nice, I guess, but it would have been nice to see them side-by-side to an actual player model using the skin.

Try putting the .png at the end of every image.
For instance
The images don't work.
Remember those versions that minecraft pranked us with? Specifically:
Those are still downloadable! Watch this video for 2.0:

They look good! Just one question, what happened to MK II? Is it just one of the skins you weren't able to keep?
