There's no way to tell from that article. Although there was plenty of revenue that doesn't tell you anything about the actual profits. Mojang was a private company, and therefor didn't have to release financial records. And unless you know what costs were involved with the company there's no way to conclude that they made a profit. As said, I only base myself on statements made by Microsoft after the takeover which clearly suggested that Mojang also had to cope with losses from time to time.
Something which I thing is quite plausible considering the fact that Mojang worked on more besides Minecraft alone. And not every one of their projects was as successful as Minecraft was.
The article specifically states that Mojang had $330 million in revenue and $129 million in profits for 2013. It states that in the first paragraph. If you follow the link in the article to the source article, they state that Mojang specifically gave that information to the Wall Street Journal.
