you know? I'm so Hyped when minecraft story mode is out but when i read the comments in the trailer Video it just like.....
here the video check the comment and the Dislikes
do you guys know why minecraft is the best because: Creativity, Survival (with mods for me), Awesome Map Creation, Awesome Builder, and Incredible/Educational Mods like Thaumcraft (which is complicated and for me its educational), galactic craft thermal expansion and so on
so do you guys thinks minecraft story mode will have a lots of hate??
or they just judge that this game only for kids (btw I'm 12)?
and minecraft story mode have a lots of potential to be a good game... because minecraft itself is.. a good Educational game
I don't support story mode because I don't think it's necessary. I also dislike the way Telltale Games sells their games; I absolutely despise DLC and that's all Telltale Games does.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. I will face my fear. I will let it pass over me and through me, and when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

but this will make an opportunity for minecraft and minecraft will become bigger and the bigger minecraft community the Mature People will come and minecraft will be a fun game that have like 50 millions people playing in PC that would be great.. but sadly idk what to say
People can choose not to play it? I think its a buttom like ''Multiplayer, Singleplayer''
ik but minecraft supposed to be a game about survival and creativity and play like in Minecraft Realms have a lots of fun but immature kids(some of it are mature) ruining all of it but if minecraft have a lots of famous companions like Story mode.. minecraft will have better community... now minecraft have pretty bad reputation and we want to make it "better"
because minecraft reputation IS different wit other games
just you know if minecraft story mode is hated like this... even before the game launched minecraft will get ruined slowly but eventually new things are coming so we are not even changing

It doesn't interest me personally, why play a game set in Minecraft when you can just play the game itself and have more creativity? I'm sure it'll do well because of Telltale Games, but it just doesn't interest me.

its okay if it doesn't interest you because other people are MORE HYPED than usual because a lots of hater hate minecraft because there are no storylines and there is another game for a specific story line for minecraft and minecraft itself is awesome it would be more awesome if minecraft have a lots of other games and the main minecraft are gonna be the famous and more FUN.. don't you like minecraft being hated even if another game based on minecraft get more hates
I am quite skeptical of the game, and will only form an opinion once I play it. I am probably just going to be more interested in the story and what they can achieve with what Minecraft is built on in the first place.
Do I hate it? No.
Do I like it? Nope.
I need to actually experience it first. Unfortunately, I can't stand Telltale Games' ideas on publishing. Makes me feel that the only way I'll be able to enjoy and finish their story is to buy each and every game, like DLC, except at full game prices.

Not buying it. I saw what happened to The Walking Dead and even Tales of The Borderlands when the decision of making both ''point and click-like' games was taken and with Minecraft SM the same thign is bound to happen. Both were boring, bland and almost completely scripted towards any decision you took. This game won't represent what made Minecraft so popular and important in the gaming community.
It's getting a lot of hate because it's Youtube. And it's the internet. People don't bother to stop and think about all the angry comments they just blurt out and post hate comments about anything they happen to not like. They don't seem to get that just because they don't like it, that doesn't mean it's horrible. For example, I'm not a fan of violins. But that doesn't make them stupid or anything. If I said that, I would be basing my statements on my own selfish desires and opinions and not considering the world outside of my own perspective. I mean, it's ok to state your opinion that you dislike it, but think twice before saying it's a horrible idea and thinking Telltale Games or Mojang is stupid because they're making it. Just because it doesn't involve or interest you doesn't mean you should bash it and hate on it.
And anyway, Story Mode is just another game that you don't have to play if you don't want to, so why would anyone get upset in the first place? (And in case anyone is confused, Story Mode is not a literal new gameplay mode for Minecraft. It's an entirely new story-based game based off of Minecraft.)

It's a new game I won't be buying, what was interesting about Minecraft to me was its freedom and exploration possibilities. What MCSM is showing looks like what an adventure map offers except it has cinematics. The concept overall doesn't intrigue me, then again I haven't played it.
Okay to clear up any confusion left: Minecraft Story Mode is a game made by Telltale Games and is completely separate from the actual Minecraft game. It's not an existing gamemode and you don't need Minecraft to play it, you can buy it separately. Telltale's known for their episodic adventure games, but I don't necessarily think that this is the right direction for Minecraft. Even though this game gets a bit of leeway for not being directly branded onto Minecraft, I'm still pretty concerned.
Minecraft's a game all about having no clear direction and the ability to do whatever you want, which gives people like Minecraft animators lots of opportunities to tell their own stories based off of Minecraft. I'm pretty sure this is what Minecraft Story Mode's going to amount to, but the fact that it's being made by a game company and it's a full game is what bothers me. You can't really push a story onto others to follow in Minecraft unless it's something like an adventure map, and I guess that's what I'm getting at here. It looks like a glorified adventure map.
The story looks cliched and worn-out, too. I mean, did you hear some of that dialogue? "Everyone's running away, except for you"? "Our gang sticks together, that's what we do"? Not to mention the absolutely horrendous lip-synching which is now a staple of Telltale... And the fact that there are Minecraft animators on YouTube who make Minecraft videos that are much much better quality than this scares me.
It's being advertised as having "your choices, your story" though, so I don't know, maybe some of my fears here will be unfounded? I'll just have to play the game myself to see how it really is, so I'm going to give it a chance.
but this will make an opportunity for minecraft and minecraft will become bigger and the bigger minecraft community the Mature People will come and minecraft will be a fun game that have like 50 millions people playing in PC that would be great.. but sadly idk what to say
Minecraft is one of the best selling games, if not the best already. I doubt 30 million "mature" people would buy the game just because a Telltale game is released.
If people don't like it then there's only one thing they can do. Show it by not buying it.
I'll be part of that because I've had some experience with "episodic" games before with titles like Sam and Max. Don't get me wrong, they're great games but I dislike how they break up the story and sell it in individual pieces. If TTG does it differently for a change, which I'm pretty sure won't happen, then I'd be on board. However, one thing that may get me to buy into it is if that it's not just a point and click title. Minecraft as we know it is about controlling where you explore and crafting your gear by hand, not just a few mouse clicks.

Story mode is a no go for me. I have tried walking dead and that game killed it for me. Not only do the dlcs stink but so
does the stories. There was no emmersion into the game, no connection between player and character and no real choice
as all roads lead to home. This is the fundamental flaw with story mode. First Microsoft stuck it's hand in the cookie jar.
Now it's telltales turn to be money hungry.

I don't even get exactly what it is, so therefore I cannot hate it or that would just be wrong.

Wish placing blocks directionally was easier? Check out this suggestion!
