Yeah, there are. Right after the update was released, the first time I was on in 1.7, I spawned right next to a Jungle. If they removed Jungles, they would have relocated Ocelots and Coco plants, too.
Scanned for about 5000 blocks square in fly mode and did not find one after we got frustrated. A pity since this is a on a MP map, my seed is 990136623449486610 and I have been playing with it for over a week. We have defeated the dragon, but not found any jungle. So I'm hopeing to fnd a huge one, this map has huge snow biomes and beutifull packed ice sculptures, so far no jungle
Well it looks like there are three fairly large jungles in a region about 5000 blocks north of spawn. You might not be quite to them yet. (Teleport to -2195 128 -5080 or -900 128 -6080 or 1353 128 -5142 to get roughly to their middles.) In case you are wondering how I know this, Amidst is a wonderful thing for finding biomes in this version.

There are, they just seem way more rare. I admit I am thrilled about it as finding constant jungles seemed annoying to me. I grab some cocoa beans, jungle wood and saps and after that never go back. They bug me to no end.
I can't seem to find a single Jungle biome either! I just want an ocelot and to collect some jungle wood! can anyone help? I'm starting to get frustrated. My seed is -978778047 should I just go back to an old seed?
I started a personal challenge - finding all 6 types of trees, so far I traveled by foot close to 60,000 km and haven't found a single jungle tree. I found plenty of Dark Oak and Acacia with a little bit of walking, of course Burch, Spruce and Oak are the first 3 that I got. I found 3-4 Mesa Taiga, found 2 ice pillars biomes, 10+ Roofed Forest and 10+ Savannah biomes. 1 Mesa Bryce.

I've been having the same problem, I've even used AMIDST (a biome-finding tool) and no jungle biomes showed up. I really hope i can find one though, because the cocoa is the last crop i need :/
They made them a lot rarer.

This is true. They had to give room for the new biomes.
In other words, you don't have to travel 5000 blocks to find a new biome. Or something like that.
