My friend introduced it to me. (That was when Minecraft was in the Alpha stage) at that time, I only knew how to use InsideJob to obtain items in Minecraft. It wasn't until Beta when I then tried to legitimately play a survival world. After that, I've been loving it ever since
At first when my sis talked about it. I thought it was kinda scary and a game I probably have no interest in playing it through because of the child like idea. However, my sister told me to watch some youtube videos about minecraft. So I watched Paulsojaurs guide to minecraft up to the third season, and I also watched ludwig (I can't remember his name) but he had a son named ethan and a wife which I can't remember either. They were the very first youtubers I watched that got me into playing it. Than that I didn't get into modding my server til I watched skydoesminecraft and Ipodmail was the last few youtubers I watched. So there's my start/
i was watching a youtube channel way back when minecraft first started out i went on to the website way it was done up looked like a old school hack website i exited out decided to never return again, Few months passed seen it on a youtube channel again but this time it was in beta not alpha i still wanted to know more about it, Then i seen it come up on xbox360 market place bought it then and opened up a whole new world for me
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
I hate to say that I /heard/ of Minecraft from people on Roblox when a map server thing got hacked there was a group of people talking about playing Minecraft instead. I made an account a few days later, didn't buy the game until last summer (minecraft 1.2.5) when my friends were talking about it.
