Where should the Minecon for 2014 be, it seems to me (though it's only been 2 completed Minecons and 1 planned ) that Mojang is planning every second Minecon to the US. And this year (2013) it'll go to the US, so in 2014 it'll probably be in some other country / part of the world.
My suggestion is Oslofjord in Norway. Mojang's home country's neighbor. Why? Well it's one heck of a beautiful place! It's a big conference centre, the main hall can store 8000 people. They got their own hotel, 3000 beds! They can send live TV shows to the hotel rooms They can produce a production of the whole Minecon if you want, even live. The centre is located 15 minutes with driving to the nearest airport, 5 minutes to the nearest train station, and busses drives to the airport and train station from and to the centre daily. The Minecon of 2014 will be the best (biggest?) Minecon for now if they have it here. Of course they got smaller conference rooms/halls, and you can use the main hall as you want. They're prices aren't to bad either!
Where would you like to Mojang to have Minecon in 2014? A country, a specific town or even a specific conference centre?
Norway would be nice. I've always wanted to go there and it's close enough to England that I could make the trip. The only reason I'm not going this year is because it's in America.
Yes, it's a perfect distance! 2 hours on an airplane and you're there. It fits perfectly for everyone in Europe. North Africa and West-west Asia isn't very far away either. It's maybe not so attractive for Americans, as it costs a bit to fly to Norway and it will take some time - but it's not much more further than France (Minecon 2012)
somewhere in western europe, like holland or england!
but i doubt they're going to have minecon 2014, since they are going to stop development of minecraft after 1.6/1.7 or so.
Hmm... Well it might be that they will use a bit time on the next versions, so that the releases will be pushed into the year of 2014 and have one last big Minecon (if that's the case). And have it in Oslofjord in Norway for example, to let most people have a chance to get there...
