Just updated Minecraft for Xbox 360 today and was playing with the new content. Saved the game and now trying to play again and I keep getting this message... "Failed to create an online game as one or more players are not allowed to play multiplayer games on Xbox LIVE. Uncheck the "Online Game" box to start an offline game." The "Online Game" box IS unchecked and I still keep getting this message..... HELP!!!
I have the same exact same problem after the minecraft update for the xbox. I can create a new world no problem, but the gazillion hours my kids have played on minecraft creating several worlds are now not accessable. The online checkbox is already unchecked, but I can neither check or uncheck it at this point. All the worlds are created offline, but we can't access any of them now. Please help, kids are sad and miserable.
Also just to clarify. Even though I can create a new world and save it.....when I try to enter it again I get the same error. Another aspect worth mentioning is if I play with a profile that does not sign into xbox live(and play offline as prompted) I can open the worlds we have there (unfortunatly they are old and were never used very long). The ones created with the profile that signs into xbox live has the problem. Also worth mewntioning is we have 4 players that play in these worlds together, but only one of the profiles logs into xbox live.
Good news....found a work-around that solved it for us. It seemed to be related to logging into xbox live and I noticed if I could get it to prompt me to play offline I was in the clear, but the account we use for the desired worlds was an xbox live account and I couldn't figure out a way for xbox to not autolog me on or minecraft to do that after prompting me, so I went into settings, family and setup content controls and blocked access to xbox live....and voila worked when I went into minecraft....got the offline prompt and I'm in.
This might seem like an extreme, to take be off xbox live even temporaily, but my kids haven't played anything but these minecraft worlds for weeks now....so peace and harmony have returned.
Thanks for the temporary fix. I was in the same boat with 2 kids who love to play, but only have silver accounts and the world was attached to one of their accounts. Hopefully, this issue doesn't take too long to be resolved.
