Hello all. Im extremely new to the forums so i apologize on any rules i break with this post. I believe this is the right place for it. I am basically looking for a permanent fix for Lag spikes.
I play on MC 1.4.7 on a decent computer. I do have a number of mods including optifine ultra. To my knowledge optifine is supposed to not only boast fps performance but also fix lag spikes. Yet to none avail i am stuck with the every 3-5 sec spikes some ranging from just a small tick, while some are a couple second freeze ups. I cant pin point either it be minecraft itsself or my computer. It just doesn't make sense because i put all settings on their lowest and boosted up the amount of memory used for the game yet the same spikes happen every 3-5 secs. I mean i am getting on super low settings 200+ fps with a high into the 300's. Yet lag spikes. And even when i have it around 100 fps lag spikes
I have tried making the memory allocated to minecraft higher. I have shut down any extra programs. I have defragged my hard drive, and used ccleaner to fix anything else. I updated my graphics card software, and checked if i have the most recent date of java. I to my knowledge have done everything i know of to try to fix these annoying lag spikes. So if you can please help that would be a life savior.
