I get great FPS on the PC version with optifine. I actually turn on vsync and keep it at 60 or it goes up to 120 FPS. PC has mods, texture packs, most updated version, biggest worlds by far, best controls, etc.
Xbox is very good, but the 7-year-old I bought if for prefers the PC version. What she says is the law in this house.
I prefer the PC version for single player because of texture packs, and the chance to try out the newest pre-release packs. For multi-player, the XBLA version is preferred because I have access to my friends list, the Live system has excellent audio chat capability, and the smooth graphics make the experience quite fun! Now, if they'd add split-screen for SD systems, that would make this experience even better.
Over all, the PC version is way more feature-rich, with the potential to have far superior graphics (with the use of HD texture packs). Admittedly, I prefer the standard low-res graphics though... It just reminds me so much of games like Daggerfall.
I go with the xbox 360 less lag and better grafhics

And just an fyi, the graphics are the same. I played Minecraft on my PC while it was hooked to my HDTV, same thing. Also, on the PC, you can get really nice HD Tecture packs that make the game look amazing.

I voted for PC since its possible to customize the minecraft on PC.
If they update the xbox version of the game, allow us to play creative + multiplayer + texture pack I'd definetly vote for xbox360
Split screen is great, you dont have to pay for another account.
I'll say PC, however I also really enjoy the xbox version. I have not bought Pocket Edition simply because of my experience with it (on my friends phone) and the price.

If they update it?XBox cause my PC went to hell for getting 62 viruses.
Latest version (going back to version 1.6.6 which is what XBOX is running is such a huge setback that this in itself is reason enough to skip XBOX)
Alot of (compared to XBOX and definately PE) more vanilla content.
Texture packs
Mods
Easier controls (sorry, but keyboard+mouse controls beat consolepads anyday)
Game runs smooth on every system I tried it on, ranging from 3 desktops of different specs as well as 2 laptops with average specs in addition to my work laptop which is utter crap when it comes to gaming. Though not a reason in itself to play on PC, I'm adding it since some people persist in claiming poor performance is a drawback on the MC PC version, even though it's their own systems that are lacking.
Easier to multiplay using Teamspeak, maps that update and show players in the browser, other assorted SMP mods/features and server always available online (dunno details on XBOX but from what I hear my friends that play MC on XBOX one of them have to be online for the other one to access the world they are working on....)
To be honest, I am a bit biased since I always hated how clumsy gaming is with consolepads compared to mouse... thus the only games I bother with on consoles is racing games... using steeringwheel and pedals... not pads...

Pc you can make everything you want to make like custom maps, mods and other stuff, but on Xbox you cannot make anything. That' s sad :'(
Though, knowing that the Xbox version is the beta 1.6 version, I'm not surprised that all the alphags flocked to it, which explains the vote results...
