I was once on this creative server I just joined and they had a extremely zealous anti griefing plugin, basically it was a 300x300 building area so I was just building then i accidently broke cobblestone was placed by another player and then I was banned. and what this plugin does is it will instantly ban anyone who broke a block not placed by them so the plugin automatically assumes you have malicious intentions by breaking cobblestone placed by another player and I was gonna put it back anyway.. And the really stupid thing was that the area reset every 6 hours. So your stuff is gonna get destroyed even if a griefer griefs. And I was still banned after 6 hours.
I Remember i Used To Play On This Server Called "Opnation" (Which The Server is now Dead) I Loved It But, One Day i went on The Servers Forums and i Downvoted a Mods Comment and i got Permanently Banned...

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
I was banned from PolygonCraft server and forums, because I left my computer on during lunch, my bro got on and broke 4 banners, and also used a pixel art "door" as an actual door by breaking and replacing two blocks. So I got banned because of an admin overreaction over 4 banners.

Well that isn't entirely banworthy, you would have been punished. Even though your brother was using your account it's still your account and you're responsible for it.
I remeber one time i got baned Uber super craft bros for beating a mod cut computer off next moring i have been perma baned worst part me and my brother would always play on that sever
I remember a friend of mine had a 12-player whitelist survival server with a few plugins. We had so much fun there, and even though he reset the map every now and then, we didn't really mind starting over. I think one guy was an x-ray hacker because he had many packs of diamonds before the rest of us barely had iron armor. We never beat the dragon or the wither though.
But the guy hosting the server got caught up in high school and couldn't keep watch over the server for hackers (we had problems with them), so he shut it down "temporarily." I kept it in my server list in case he brought it back up.
After a few months, I knew that he wasn't going to bring back the server. But a few days later it came back online. It now had a 40 player limit and the MOTD was "Welcome back." I told my friends and we started making our houses like usual again. We got full iron armor and good tools and we built a nether portal. Five of us went inside. This is where it gets interesting.
After failing to find a nether fortress, we went back to the portal. But instead of going back to our little town, we ended up in a shallow grassy valley. We were all confused so we climbed up the hill and there was a bunch of nice-looking wooden/cobble buildings with some iron stuff behind it. They even had labeled gravel roads, but it was clear that this was built in survival. It was then that we realized that this wasn't our friend's server, but a different one that had taken over the ip.
We found stuff like diamond blocks and beacons here, so we were like jackpot hahaha. We carefully took the valuables without damaging the buildings so they wouldn't realize something was up. Then we tpa'd to the rest of the group that was home..
A few weeks later, we tried to find a nether fortress again and failed. We went through the portal and of course it put us back in that grassy valley far away.
The town was still there, but there was a wall around it and signs in front telling strangers to go away. Most of the valuables were replaced, so we stole them all again, still leaving the buildings undamaged.
We started doing raiding parties of that town every few weeks. The wall got taller and thicker, and the signs got more worried. I guess this was the admin and his friend's town, and he it seemed like he thought that ghosts had come back to seek revenge on him. That was hilarious.
He obviously didn't know we were using the nether portals system to come back and raid his town. And the best part was he couldn't use the portals to find our bases because the portal system always goes to that valley.
Eventually the admin figured out that it wasn't ghosts and it was us, so he banned all of us with the reason "HAHA gotcha but well played"
We were a little disappointed, but we knew we probably deserved it.
After a while, I tried logging on again and it let me! Our town was untouched. I told my friends, but when they tried to log on, it prevented them. I tried to run /pardon as a test, and it worked! Someone had unbanned me and gave me administrator privileges! I unbanned all my friends, and we continued as usual.
The admin was obviously freaked out that the raids were continuing, and his signs pleaded for us to stop it. He was convinced that it was ghosts again XD. He also didn't figure out that we could just pillar over the wall or dig under it.
Eventually he took down the server. During the final days of the server, the MOTD was "You win now leave me alone!"
This isn't really a stupid ban reason, but I think its still a cool story.
My story is kinda long so I put it inside a spoiler.

One time, when I was still a young nooblet, I installed hacks to combat the hackers that plagued Minecade, not knowing at the time that two wrongs don't make a right. As usual, my brother then ruined everything by hacking on the server WITHOUT good intentions. Culminated with me getting banned. Three years, and multiple appeals later, despite the hacks being long gone, I'm still banned! The worst part is, my brother has his own account, although it's technically mine and I just let him play on it; I now have to use it to play Minecade.

It was on a minigame server, I camped a certain area by shooting it over and over till I hit someone and I happened to shoot a certain staff member and killed him with a headshot. I was later banned for XRaying. This was a gun mini game, also.

That's not a stupid ban reason, that is a very valid reason. DDosing is illegal...

Once on a KitPvP server that no longer exists, I killed a player that the owner was protecting and he banned me for 1 hour for "hax."
