Every time there's an update for Minecraft I have to a friend's to install him mods. Mostly Optifine since his computer is very low. Every time I throw in a small surprise. Example on 1.1 I installed Mine Little Pony without him knowing, Another update before that, I switched Diamond Ore texture with Coal ore, and Gold ore with Iron.
I'm going this week but not sure what to do.
Has to be in the Minecraft.jar now.
Nothing too mean
Nothing too game changing
Mods have to be for 1.2.3
I was thinking of making Custom splash texts so give idea's for some funny splashes too.
If you're nice enough, Recommend a few mods that can help him out or add to the prank or what ever this is.

People tend to hate me without ever meeting me. This makes me pity said people.
I like the idea of replacing diamond with gold, diamond icons with gold icons, ore with ore, compressed blocks with compressed blocks, and the textures of all the weapons and armor. This way he'll think he got diamonds, when he's really got gold, and he'll be able to make diamond weapons, diamond blocks, and diamond armor, but it will last like gold and he'll be like WTF. And he won't be able to make certain advanced things.
If only you could easily change the hovertext names of the items.
Delete mob textures. Invisible mobs.
Although it's probably a tad late.
Also mean, funny, but mean, lol. I think that the invisible mobs was a great idea on the post, so maybe someday I too will try it. But another thing that would be great to do, is delete all the textures to the tools and weapons, and maybe even ores too.
OR secretly install one of the Herobrine Mods.
Leaves. Cover the victims house in leaves and misplace their iron so they can't make shears. Makes off for a good prank. They will beg and beg to know where the iron is. Do not give in right away but don't wait too long because you may get banned. About a day give them their iron and they will be happy. Leaf pillars will be good as they will have to pillar up themselves
