Hey fellow Minecrafters, I need some help getting a dispenser-turret to work the way I want it to.
I have this set up (with the door being the dispenser):
It works in the simulator, but not in game.
Problem is that it won't shoot continuously, only one shot per pressure plate press. I know there are other ways of getting the desired effect, but I rather do it with an and gate :biggrin.gif:
Any ideas?

The reason the pulser works is that it has multiple points of failure, even is one torch burns out from going to fast the others keep going until that one recovers. Running it through a gate defeats that purpose, because it burns out the torches in the gate. RS sim doesn't simulate torches burning out AFAIK, so that's why it works there.
Basically, you can't use a gate. Instead, have the plate turn on and off the pulser instead of the line.
the problem you had was the rapid pulse was connected to red torch turning it always on as well as to teh switch.
in order to get full auto fire you need a rapid pulse to connect to the turret as well as an always on connected from a different location.
This is what I don't want to have though. I want only one redstone wire to be connected to the dispensor.

I understand a bit more now, but what do you mean by have the plate turn on/off the pulser instead of the line?

as far as i know you can not set up a fully auto turret with only 1 line going to the turret, you can set up the power line underneath the same line as the rapid pulse, but in order to get the full auto you have to have an 'always on' and a 'rapid pulse' to keep the system firing non stop

Ugh, well, I guess that's that. The reason I was trying to make it work is because using two wires would require me to make some rather annoying renovations, but if nothing can be done about it than I'll just have to get use to it.
Thanks for the help though guys; really appreciate it :happy.gif:

blue = turret

if the picture above doesnt work then add wires from teh rapid pulse to teh switch

Or, you could just take screen shots; it would work just as well.
