So right, I have an idea. I made a MASSIVE ocean map (sp) bassically, someone makes a ship in it, then passes the map to someone else, this keeps happening until the whole ocean is the playground for an armada of evil pirates.
The Titanic should certainly be possible, at least the exterior. At a length of 269 meters it would work pretty well in a 512x512 map.
I think, though, the problems would surface when you start building the interior. It's hard to make replicas when the walls you make are 1 meter thick.
I had the same problem when making a Zelda: Ocarina of Time replica in Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. You can't expect to be any more accurate than the game will allow you to be.
It's not finished yet, it will be in a week
or not.
I must say, I've yet to see a cruise ship as good as mine (I'm so modest :tongue.gif: ) but I think I may have to retract that statement after seeing yours :tongue.gif: ...
Thank you! :smile.gif:
I couldn't visit your one so far (Java doesn't work on that machine), but it sounds very interesting!
(Soo many restaurants/bars/other rooms!)
EDIT: I've visited it now and it's cool :biggrin.gif:
It looks very nice with the black part
It just confused me a bit that the doors were made of glass, but i love the rest :biggrin.gif:
btw: Nice smoke stacks :wink.gif:
I actually work on a titanic replica.
and it's very very huge !
in order to have a 4 bloc floor (florr+ wall of 3 blocs), the titanic must be :
269,10 meters -> 487 blocs
28,50 meters -> 51 blocs
53 meters -> 96 blocs
just sooo huge.
I use the plans and pant to redraw them scaled down to mincraft's scale, it's a pain.
when it will be more advanced, I will post a link if you want
wow, I've already did that. Check out my post saying my first creations.
At the end of the day it's the chair I trust
The cushion is comfy and the works don't rust
With a straight line of vision to my Elvis bust
Watch the kingdom, eat the bread crust
now that would be one badass thing.
cba trying it again, waste of time (when you're bad) for something that looks awful.

You must have some crazy-ass patience.
