Wow. You are really talented. My bases always look so drab. One of the reasons I like coming to the forums is to appreciate other players building talent because I have next to none. Great Job! :-)
Built it myself in my server with a few minor changes. I like the waterfall running down. I'm planning to make a sort of a waterfall going down a steep hill into a small river (I built the house on the extreme mountains biome).
When i try to access the step-by-step instructions for the large cabin on Flickr i get an error. That i don't have permission to view that page... Can someone help me
can you PLEASE upload the world download somewhere? or the schematic? its simple get winrar go to %appdata% go into saves right click teh world download and press add to _____ .rar then you get a file.. go to mediafire.com upload the rar and post the link on here.... THANKS
Really cool building. I was directed here by paulsoaresjr's youtube vid. I agree with ZGiSH about the simple structure with great detail. There are a lot of people who make massive castles, i really like the idea of a village full of small intricate buildings. Thanks for the step by step, looking forward to more!
The large cabin is great, but I find the low roofs a little claustrophobic.
So I raised the roof, and the house looked too tall.
So I used three 5x5 area units, with a 3 high roof.
Used clay brick foundations, beech wood frame, stone brick & glass walls, and jungle plank floors, half slab roofs (will replace with jungle wood slabs when it becomes available). Each roof has a center glowstone to unobtrusively light interior. The glowstone sticks out of the roof a little to light the roof area, with a half slab cap to blend it into the rest of the roof. The edge of the roof units (along top of frame) are stairs forming a 'lip' around the edge. Finished with a front landing with slab stairs leading down to harbour, and toward the old mine (where my base hidy hole was).
Ladder to basement, with storage, and a train station going underground inside the house.
The house is on a low hill, so the basement is only two square units, with ladder down, and external iron door. That contains storage and a train line end going underground.
The main living area (three units, kitchen, living, and library), door to a rear porch, which is only one block higher than ground level. A gate and wooded stair provides a back door exit.
A one unit bedroom on top with door to access roof area completes the farm base house.
HINT for construction: Before adding the clay brick bock foundation, use dirt, plant the tree of choice, and bone meal grow. Repeat with dirt on top of tree to make it tall enough. Tree growing saves a lot of work, in the initial framing of the house.
Also ensure you put a torch or glowstone under the house in disused slope areas to prevent spawning!
Thank you,
alisparrowxxCan someone make a video on this? I'm really confused about the foundations and how it's set up.
Thanks,
alisparrowxx

You mean the server that bans people for walking? Yeah.. No thanks. You completely copied another server!
By the way, liking the cabin, keep up the good work.
