Round 12: Win, 11.21 (87) – 12.8 (80) v Gold Coast, Metricon Stadium
Round 10: Loss, 9.5 (59) – 27.12 (174) v Hawthorn, Aurora Stadium

Adelaide’s Past Five:
Round 12: Win, 17.13 (115) – 16.15 (111) v St Kilda, AAMI Stadium

North have hardly been impressive of late and only just snuck past the Suns last start on the Gold Coast. Before that they were thrashed by Hawthorn in Tasmania and they are not looking like a side that was expected to play finals football this season. The Crows have been one of the surprise packets this season and currently sit in second place on the AFL ladder with nine wins from 11 games. Last round they did enough to beat the Saints at home and prior to that they picked up a good win against the Dockers in Perth.
WHO’S HOT:
Drew Petrie – The North big man was back to his best against the Suns last week despite an inaccurate game in front of the big sticks. Petrie picked up 23 disposals, pulled down 14 marks and could have easily kicked four or five goals. He did manage two majors, in what was a welcome return to form for a player who has been down so far in 2012.Sam Jacobs – The former Carlton ruckman has been a revelation at the Crows this season and could be in line for All Australian selection. Jacobs is averaging 13 disposals and 30 hitouts a game and is playing with a new found consistency that we didn’t see at Carlton.North are going to have play dramatically better than they have been to win this one as the Crows are one of the form teams of the competition. With Sam Jacobs likely to give the likes of Scott Thompson, Rory Sloane and Patrick Dangerfield first use of the ball, North are going to find it tough to stick with their South Australian opponents.North’s strength might be up forward with Drew Petrie and Aaron Edwards usually a handful for teams, but the Crows look to have enough options to combat the duo.
