I don't know about you all, but I run out of things to build in minecraft. Even though I have a lengthy list of ideas of things to build and stuff to do. I get bored in survival because I hit a wall, so I'm going to start this thread to hold myself accountable. I'll upload screenshots when I figure out how (if someone has a walk through I would appreciate it). I'm a terrible builder, but I'm going to use this as practice and guidance from those of you who suggest any new ideas.
Although, I don't expect many of you to be following along. I tried hunting for some good lets play blog exclusive threads, and only found one that I particularly enjoyed (TMO's MCPE Survival Mode blog, go check it out). I do hope that anyone who does follow along enjoys it. I am very open to criticism (constructive, please), more ideas, and tips.
There is a potential of making this into a realm, but there would be a pretty lengthy "interview" process, due to me having a realm so many times and being just sick of griefers.
So, here is a list of things that I would like to build in my survival mode (in no particular order). Items that I am currently working on will be in bold and items that I have completed are stricken through. I will post screenshots and text of updates, if any of you would like additional pictures or details, just let me know and I'll do my best to provide it. If you feel there is anything else I should add to the list, please let me know! (I got a lot of these ideas from other threads)
Tree farm
Underground base
Art Gallery
Boat Dock
Tree house
wolf kennels
a mine with tracks everywhere that includes a room for furnaces and storage
huge swimming pool or oasis
roller coaster
roller coaster with boats and water
archery range w/ moving mine carts with mobs for target practice
giant room with 3-4 layers of dirt to test & build redstone contraptions
random towers (outposts) with sets of armor, weapons, tools, and food

My first night has been absolutely terrible. I'm in an area with tons of trees, I haven't found any coal yet, so I can't even mine down to try and find some. I'm having a hard time finding animals. I'm definitely going to have to venture out to find somewhere else. I usually like to make my base at spawn, if possible, for easy access with a compass, but since I'm using coordinates it shouldn't be that big of a deal.
My mini-hut house thing, is so ugly, but it's right next to a mushroom so it's easy to find. Since I don't plan on being here for longer than a night or two it doesn't bother me too much.

I finally found coal, as well as nearly a stack of iron in my first mining trip. Not too shabby. There is a large cave network right under my hut, so I'm going to explore that for a bit and then be on my merry way.
I ran out of food so I had to go hunting. I found a lot of pigs, so I should be good with that for a little while. I'm so sick of this area outside because I am struggling to find animals so bad. I think I am going to leave before exploring the whole cave.

Alright, I found a nice mountain that I could make a home in, and made a mine. I didn't find any diamonds, but I found over a stack of redstone, half a stack of lapis, 3 emeralds, iron, and a ton of coal. I also made a little wheat and sugarcane farm. Nothing too exciting yet, so I'll hold off on pictures for a bit.

Not sure if anyone has been following or not, but I obviously haven't posted in a bit. My game crashed and I finally got it to start working again. I'll be starting a new world. Thankfully I wasn't too far along in my old world. I'll be starting today, so stay tuned.
I always like to make a home in a cave, then start a mine in the cave where i'm staying at. I just put a door between the cave and where I'm sleeping in case I find a spawner.
And don't forget you can always make planks, use them for fuel to burn one log to make charcoal for those first few nights while your looking for coal.

Won't be posting too much for a bit. Extremely busy with school starting up again.
