It seems impossible to have a second layer for the body when making a skin with the slim model; only the head's second layer is available. Why is this? Slim models with second layers on the body work just fine in minecraft.
I'm having the same issue that Johnny4life had nearly 9 months ago; the brush does not locate itself in the same location as the cursor when editing/drawing on skins that are of a higher resolution. The brush and cursor move farther from each other the further you move your mouse down and right.
I think what is happening is that the brush is moving as though the skin is still normal resolution, therefore moving across less pixels, if that makes any sense. Frankly, it makes the program more or less unusable, as I make many higher resolution/HD skins to be used with More Player Models. For now I will, unfortunately, have to dredge up my old computer to get an older version that doesn't have this terrible bug to my new computer. In the future, I'd suggest giving people access to a few older versions of MCSkin3D, in case bugs that make it next to unusable come up again in the future.
On the 3D view you can remove certain parts to make it easier to edit. But this doesn't apply to the 2D view as well... That would be very useful for people trying to make a random design (ex: Hair on the hat layer) but only want to do a certain section. I find it very hard to work quickly and efficiently in the 2D view without drawing into another area and being forced to undo it all with Crl + Z.
That's the only suggestion I have. This is an otherwise amazing program and you should be very proud for making such and awesome Easy-To-use program for the community. Keep it up mate!
I also have the issue where on HD skins it is completely out of wack/ not centered onto the mouse in 2d view. This is on the newest version. I have to use v1.4.2.253 if I want to be able to skin anything relating to MPM! I'd love to see this fixed on newer versions, since the old version sadly started being rather laggy for me after I got a new graphics card, but the newer version fixes that! If there's anything I can provide to help, please say so. ty, this is my favorite skinning programs, and at this point I can't use anything else.
I have no clue how to flatten a 1.8 skin to turn into 1.7, you know flattening the 1.8 body layer on the skin, I first posted it PlanetMinecraft and a chat mod replied, I can't figure out what he did it's all very enigmatic to me, he messaged me the download for a skin I asked to be flattened and asked about his method and he hasn't replied since and now I'm starting to like another skin more, then I posted a thread here and now I'm starting to get impatient, I need some help and asking Reddit yielded unhelpful results which worsened my patience on this whole problem.
Found a bug with scaling. For each of the 3 images, I click at the red pixel and it paints at the cyan pixel. For normal resolution they're at the same place, but...
This software is now useless because Mojang killed the legacy skin server (skins.minecraft.net) from a statement from Dinnerbone on their bug tracker.
Like someone fork it then make the changes to make it work again but that'll require like an API call to convert the name to uuid, then get the uuid's skin then decode the base64 string and poof you have the player's skin...
I had to make a PHP file to make my Skin API to work again but the code is a mess, there's no "cache" inside but within Minotar (legacy PHP code) does have a 24-hour caching system in place
I hope @Paril will someday update it but the last update was in May 2016... Well time to ditch MCSkin3D and use NameMC then... RIP :'(

MagicLauncher is the best launcher I ever used! Hoping the developer would update for 1.13.x and 1.14.x
Ya know, I prefer older versions, I WANT OLDER VERSIONS WHEN I COULD CUSTOMIZE ARMOR
How on EARTH! Do I download older versions of McSkin?

why can't i create armor textures anymore with MCskin3d?
How do i import a custom model?

Suggestion:
Maybe add 2D view support for Visible Parts.

Hey guys.. just want to post this link: http://adf.ly/1laYQf
It's a skin maker. Some of you may know it some of you maybe not

Can You Add A Cape Editor... (Perspective/Texture/Hybrid) Just Like The Skin Editor..
That Would Be Nice!!
This is just pure greatness. I can finally shade my skins easily!
sometimes, nullposts must be made.
